07/4/2016 17:26 | My experience is that these shares are capable of jumping up when there is no news, long term it is all about earnings growth and expectations of same. Volatility is to be expected with a thinish market. | freddie ferret
07/4/2016 17:15 | Top slicing can be very wise especially if you need cash or have another share lined up. I have spent a long time building a stake here.I see nothing with a future as bright hence I am so long from the 30p days. I held 2.9% of DART GROUP which today would have been worth 22.5 million !! The shares cost me just 16P now (680p)..........and its all recorded on the b/b. Of course top slicing at 40/50p then 100p all the way to coming out some 50% below the price now. So if the story is good and the market is wrong, SIT TIGHT. Just for the record I really fancy a 2 bagger ( in 2 years ) on ROBINSON. Bought at 150p and it went to 250p before back at 150p. I am however buying again. Tiger | castleford tiger
07/4/2016 16:58 | It's a tough market cfro, you just have to take profit whenever you can. These shares need frequent news, in the lack of that people get bored and sell. Besides these are so illiquid that you won't be able to sell on bad news, so I don't blame people to banking profit.Hopefully this will turn around soon, there were some buyers appearing towards the end. | modform
07/4/2016 15:51 | My view is that there could well be news of further contracts to come out in the next couple of months of a reasonable size that could show that LPA really has an amazing forward workload and I don't want to be out of the share when it occurs. So I'm holding on. | loobrush
07/4/2016 14:13 | Looks like that was a wise move modform.. Frustrating to see the share price off by 20p+ from its highs following a super strong AGM statement - which was one of the strongest i had personally seen for many a month btw! Price now back down to the 20dma. These are very illiquid so hard to say where the price might settle but i for one am certainly watching this carefully for a further opportunity to add.. | cfro
23/3/2016 10:50 | I have now top sliced my holdings by half since I have been in from 86p. I feel more comfortable with illiquid shares to bank profit.I highlighted this on CR and VLG thread on last November, it's a good company in a niche market and I am hoping the share price will make further gains. 23/3/2016 10:42 | Can't believe no one else stuck these in the annual stockchallenge :o) | bigbigdave
23/3/2016 10:40 | not a penny less than 300p which remains my 2017 target. tiger | castleford tiger
23/3/2016 09:44 | Must be close to new all time highs here? I agree too that the WH Ireland forecasts are on the low side. Plenty of opportunity throughout the year for the company to continue to release 'ahead' statements. Despite the increased share price the forward pe is still likely to be attractive given the conservative forecasts. | cfro
23/3/2016 09:44 | More like £3 I think CT? | andy2205
23/3/2016 09:28 | But I wonder if an Institutional investor would pay you what you want at this time? 200p from memory? | interceptor2
23/3/2016 09:22 | mine are for sale. tiger | castleford tiger
23/3/2016 09:08 | I agree that W H Irelands new estimates look cautious given the tone of the positive AGM statement. Don't really mind a conservative estimate at this time, because we are still early into the new financial year which is likely to see more ahead updates during the year and scope for increased broker estimates. Noticed yesterday that the price strengthened even with mainly small sell transactions, wondered if this meant that larger buyers were in the background? Could be the case looking at the share price rise this morning. If a larger institutional buyer wanted to build a position, it would prove difficult in in the market without a significant impact on the price, unless they can find another large holder that is happy to sell. | interceptor2
23/3/2016 08:34 | Given LPA's track record for past disappointments, I can understand their broker being a tad cautious looking forward but, in the light of the company's recent almost delirious excitement, I think W H Ireland's revised forecasts - 7.75p and 9.12p respectively - are a mite downbeat. | ansc
22/3/2016 15:23 | thank you Hastings, I believe we all appreciate your input. | olliemagern
22/3/2016 10:49 | I have added some comment on the back of yesterday if of interest to others. | hastings
22/3/2016 09:35 | Can't buy much stock online. | someuwin
21/3/2016 17:58 | What a fantastic statement, has to be one of the strongest I have seen for a long time, management are very excited by prospects and so am I. I couldn't have asked for a better statement :o)) | interceptor2
21/3/2016 16:43 | So much more to come here in 2016. 200p is a fair target based on what we know is in the pipeline 92 or 97 it will look very cheap going forward Of course this is my opinion Dyor please Tiger FROM MY POST IN DECEMBER | castleford tiger
21/3/2016 14:02 | In the ongoing economic 'gloom and doom' environment nationwide, an unbelievable AGM statement. I wonder how conservative brokers' forthcoming upgrades will be? | ansc
21/3/2016 13:32 | Just logged back on after a spot of lunch and saw this......wow! | cfro
21/3/2016 13:05 | Great news-seems to me they are very excited indeed and the company is usually very conservative. If they keep getting orders at this rate-share price could easily double again within a year or so. | loobrush
21/3/2016 12:47 | Yes most exciting to read. Tried to top up but no stock around. Anyone managed to buy this morning? | meijiman
21/3/2016 12:45 | One of the most exciting AGM statements I have seen in a long time. | saucepan |
