03/1/2013 10:04 | I wonder if interest will build here as we approach the prelims in the next couple of weeks? Last year's Final results were out on 19th January, but I'm not aware of a set date for this year. Skyship - Thanks for flagging up your previous experience with the CEO. This doesn't give me any immediate cause for concern, particularly with the company currently trading strongly. I will be keeping a close eye on his words and actions in the future though. | madmix
02/1/2013 18:57 | Ahh - set himself up with a few share options I see: Exercise of Options and Director Shareholdings On 24 January 2012, Peter Pollock, Chief Executive, exercised an option to purchase 75,000 new ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at an option price of 32 pence per share. Further to the exercise, Peter Pollock is beneficially interested in 725,000 ordinary shares, representing 6.25 per cent. of the Company's enlarged issued share capital and is interested in options to subscribe for ordinary shares as set out below: Number of options Exercise price Expiry date ------------------ --------------- ------------- 35,000 39p 7 March 2017 540,000 36p 30 July 2017 100,000 32p 1 April 2021 ------------------ --------------- ------------- | ![]() skyship
02/1/2013 18:53 | The CEO here is Peter Pollock..... For Lionheart (LNT) shareholders who remember how difficult it was to get their cash out of his clutches back in 2002, perhaps LPA would be a share to avoid, even though they are making much of their LED involvement. How much is he paying himself out of this £8m Mkt Cap company I wonder? Must go and have a look... | ![]() skyship
02/1/2013 13:15 | Very quiet here for now however I'm expecting LPA to make good progress this year and don't think it will take much to push the share price through the £1 barrier. | ![]() vfast
21/12/2012 09:30 | Yep, doesn't take much volume to shift this cfro. Looking forward to maybe breaking the previous high early next year. | ![]() bigbigdave
21/12/2012 09:20 | Little bit of life this morning. These can move fast when they do go imo. | ![]() cfro
17/12/2012 03:50 | VectorVest Detailed Analysis Company Information Business: LPA Group plc engages in the design, manufacture, and distribution of electronic and electromechanical components, systems, and equipment for the rail, aerospace, defence, infrastructure, and general industrial markets in the United Kingdom and internationally. Its products include connectors, relays and contactors, circuit breakers, fans and motors, switches, and terminal assemblies; and lighting systems, emergency lighting systems, power supply units, inverters, electronic control and monitoring, and contract electronics manufacturing products. Capital Appreciation Value: Value is a measure of a stock's current worth. LPA.L has a current Value of 92.34p per share. Therefore, it is undervalued compared to its Price of 70.00p per share. Value is computed from forecasted earnings per share, forecasted earnings growth, profitability, interest, and inflation rates. Value increases when earnings, earnings growth rate and profitability increase, and when interest and inflation rates decrease. VectorVest advocates the purchase of undervalued stocks. At some point in time, a stock's Price and Value always will converge. RV (Relative Value): RV is an indicator of long-term price appreciation potential. LPA.L has an RV of 1.46, which is excellent on a scale of 0.00 to 2.00. This indicator is far superior to a simple comparison of Price and Value because it is computed from an analysis of projected price appreciation three years out, AAA Corporate Bond Rates, and risk. RV solves the riddle of whether it is preferable to buy High growth, High P/E stocks, or Low growth, Low P/E stocks. VectorVest favors the purchase of stocks with RV ratings above 1.00. | ![]() vfast
12/12/2012 19:06 | Just slow due to the news on the move imo, but these do spike well on news. Might not be an exciting mover at the moment but a bit of news and away it goes. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
12/12/2012 18:08 | Think you're right woodcot, gone a bit quiet here the last few weeks. But like you i expect next year to be a great year for LPA. | ![]() cfro
26/11/2012 10:30 | I don't think there will be much more activity this year not unless they make another announcement. The run up to Christmas may see volume very low and we may get a few selling's in to help fund their Christmas activity and that applies to other stocks as well. Short term I'm not expecting too much and now looking at 2013 which I think might be very interesting. | woodcot

22/11/2012 16:03 | sundance - yes but LPA had put out a bit about a lag in growth until they move where these others haven't said a word so off less. A firm day or twio in the US and all the retraced small caps will be motoring again imo. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/11/2012 16:02 | How about all that cash from the sale of the Tudor site? I reckon shareholders should push for a special div. How about 20p a share? | ![]() cfro
22/11/2012 16:01 | ansc, Credit to you for making your position clear. I would point out though that XCAP Securities forecast from 21/08/2012 was for 5.9p eps for 2012, a figure that "is likely to (be) comfortably exceeded" now. | madmix
22/11/2012 14:54 | I'm out as (imho) the rating is now way ahead of events even taking this mornings good news into account. Interim eps was up 40% @ 2.22p; last year's second half produced earnings of 1.73p and, even if that is (generously) doubled this time, eps for the year would only come to a total of around 5.7p which, with the share price now at 75p, means the p.e. would be a heady 13. Too high for me in this current volatile economic climate. It also needs to be remembered that the move from Saffron Walden to the Shire Hill facility is going to be fairly disruptive. | ![]() ansc
22/11/2012 12:34 | CR, not sure I'd classify those other ones you've mentioned in the same way as LPA? None of them are more than 10% off their respective highs, whereas LPA was off about 40% at one stage yesterday. | ![]() sundance 13
22/11/2012 12:23 | Plenty of small caps seen profit taking for no reason other than punters wanting to bank a bit of cash imo. API, TRCS, DRV, LPA - then you get a bounce like this and you're locked out if you've sold imo. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/11/2012 11:46 | Well done IC2. That 9am dip-let was an obvious buy point imo. | ![]() cfro

22/11/2012 10:06 | Managed to buy in at last on the pullback, wasn't easy to buy at the open. Pleased to be holding again after grabbing profits too early back in August. It was only yesterday that I took a good look at these while the MMs were trying to shake out some stops by dropping the share price below the 200ma. ic2... | ![]() interceptor2
22/11/2012 08:28 | Its not just about the ''profit'' above the book value but that this cements the longer term plans in place. That is a little more difficult to value but I guess a nice problem to have this morning !! :-)) | pj 1
22/11/2012 08:26 | How many got suckered into selling yesterday I wonder? Generally I view drops in prices as buying rather than selling opps. Seems many people are scared of their own shadow these days. | ![]() stegrego
22/11/2012 08:22 | CALLUMROSS.......... A profits warning?............ Tiger great day with DTG as well have a look guys its far too cheap. | ![]() castleford tiger
22/11/2012 08:19 | I decided to buy some after the RNS. I'd been watching for a while but they were falling for (apparently) no reason, so decided to hold off. How much do we think above the £0.5m book value the land will be sold for? I've seen figures of £4m but are these based on any facts? All they said was "substantially above book value" from what I've seen. | ![]() jamielein
