17/7/2012 15:27 | Started to have a look here and put on my radar. Initial comment...what a damn awful unprofessional web page. One of the worst I have ever seen Dull, uninspiring, strange wording, not user friendly, uninformative. If this is a window into the Company then it sure needs cleaning...... | pj 1

16/7/2012 16:33 | Thought u were on holiday Tiger and thought u might look in. No harm in taking a profit on 30% spike!!! I don't think EKT would be intersted myself unless it was split up and EKT bought the connectorts but they would not be interested in the company. | simon templar qc
16/7/2012 16:13 | Simon I am not sure that 60p is far out right now. The market cap is 6 million and they have a chunk of money to come from SW. I think the brokers must have read my numbers!! not often i get it spot on. That said i think we will be closer to a million than 600k in 2013. The shares are very well bid right now we 2x mm having no stock. They will take 10k blocks. I remain as you know Simon a holder. Do you think EKT may ever look at them? Tiger | castleford tiger
16/7/2012 15:57 | Gawd, has Simon Templar got a stake in LPA as well as Elektron?? I think we should be told.... | eburne1960

16/7/2012 09:43 | cracking write up in SCSW over weekend. My friend gave me DIA and it has put LPA on my radar now. :-) | share_shark
16/7/2012 09:43 | Too much going in central costs and management pockets!!! Look at their track record. I advised taking a profit the 30% rise this morning was always going to be unsustainable short term. | simon templar qc
16/7/2012 09:23 | words from a good friend of mine I have been using Niphan connectors for years and they are excellent. Although they are expensive I've never had to replace any. Re LED's I have recently secured additional capital investment from a CC to replace 30% of the street lights . We have decided not to use LED's due to cost and payback (although the whole life cost of LED's is better). Discharge luminaires Cost = £3.7m Payback = 8 years LED luminaires Cost = £9.7m Payback = 28 years The use of LED luminaires will save energy but the big saving is in reduced maintenance. You may have noticed that most bus and lorry rear and indicator lights are now LED. This have nothing to do with saving energy but to reduce maintenance. When a bus or lorry is off the road having lamps changes it is not earning money (and less chance of getting a ticket for faulty lights). Vehicle LED lights can conceivably last as long as the vehicle. This analogy is simmer for trains and plains. When they are not operational due to maintenance they are costing the operating company money. So in these circumstance it is worth paying a premium for the LED product. So LED products designed for niche sectors that have a high cost of down time are very attractive to end users. I would defiantly include airlines in this and probable train operators too. This is where Dialight have succeeded. If LPA are selling their product to these types of company then are probably on to a winner (but they need to invest in a constant light output driver). | cambium

29/6/2012 16:27 | The new forecasts from Xcap Securities below 2012 = PBT, £0.60m and EPS, 4.60p 2013 = PBT, £0.67m and EPS, 5.00p That a 20% increase for 2012 giving a PER of 10.44 and a PEG of only 0.17. The rolling PEG is 0.58. CT, Looks like the brokers agree with your £0.60m PBT forecast, but I think now after the interims they are likely to beat these forecasts ic2... | interceptor2

27/6/2012 18:29 | Forget that little peac of say 2 million plus................ I expect 600k this year to give a historic p/e of 10. Will have cash in hand after the sale, paying a growing divi, could turnover 20 million in 2013 all for 5 mill market cap. Fair value 100p and i have lots of them................ 27/6/2012 08:25 | so how much could they sell that Saffron Walden land for if it can have 20 houses built on it ? presumably they could do it themselves and make £10m or sell it to a housebuilder for £2-4m ? | mildred49 |
