Agree it's certainly not good news to have a flood of cars on the market all at once undercutting the stock dealers already have their margins are under pressure as it is!

Disagree it means a flood of new cars unsold, which will reduce the cost of the vehicles Hertz had on order.

This is good news for residuals and all Franchised motor dealerships!

It means less nearly new stock being sold at auctions or guaranteed buy back deals.

You may be right, I said public transport as well ? Surely people be buying a car than travel on public transport ? Russian roulette public transport with the virus about.

Do we know when the delayed accounts are to be announced? I know it's in June sometime. I originally thought the stock might take a run up to the results but it seems to be taking a run down, expecting bad news.

There's certainly a Persistent seller out there. My reckoning is people will buy more cars rather than risk public transport but as you say it's a risky one with the ongoing investigation.

There is going to be around £4 million cost from the Fraud in upcoming the 2019 accounts which alone isn't too disastrous.

A bigger concern is the investigation extending which will hit the 2020 accounting year. Not sure what amount that could reach, hence my cold feet. I may regret selling if news lands and the shares rally but in this climate, business is hardly going to suddenly boom, but the market just needs the confidence that this is not the start of a potential terminal decline. Could it get that bad really?

I overheard a conversation earlier about Lookers...

Can someone clarify as I'm not sure I heard correctly...

Is it a fraud probe they have going on or a ford probe?

Thanks in advance.

Makes you wonder if any money is disappearing from other smaller/micro caps due to this lockdown...wider shareholders always high and dry...

This fraud that is costing £4m and potentially more is a concern that I think I may have brushed off too naively. Will anyone even be held accountable/prosecuted?

It seems that shareholders are always the ones losing out when employees go astray.
