RBN is an interesting new idea that has just come across my radar. A plastics and packaging company operating in a sector i really like but currently have no exposure to.

I note that the famous value investor Peter Gyllenhammer has just recently taken a stake. They have several million pounds worth of property and land up for sale which they intend to pay off debt and re-invest in the business. I admit to knowing next to nothing about the business so it's one for me to do a bit of research on.

I think RSG and HOC offer value at these levels with increasing Gold and Silver prices.

MNG dividend landed with a great big donk in my account this morning and i have made my first new buy of the year in STVG using the funds..

Got a whole list of companies i want to buy but this has been top of my list for a good while with a PE of nine and dividend yield of around 4.5% with the studios division doing really great it is a sitting duck for a t/o imv..

What a mad time this was. Once and never to be repeated hopefully..
Some of these stocks went utterly crazy and now glad to be back to more normal investing conditions..

A lot of finance stocks and REITs all spiked up at 1.30pm. I think it was to do with the US job numbers which was lower than expected along with some contrary thinking by traders with the view that US interest rates may be cut sooner..

Most have spiked and fallen back but some v large volume today nevertheless. The interesting one is PHNX where it has spiked along with the sector but gone up more since.

I suspect it is shorters panicking as this stock has been heavily shorted for quite some time now especially since the Liz Truss LDI debacle 18 months or so ago. However there is some bid chatter so will have to keep and eye on the weekends news...

Very strange share price action with alot of insurance companies since they have hit ex dividend, especially CSN and MNG...

I surprised someone not tried their luck with a cheeky £3 20 bid for CSN
