02/7/2012 17:50 | Well officially Dennis Bailey has retired from LAC. Also, I cannot see that a re-listing is possible whilst the accounts remain full of disclaimers and qualifications from the auditors. Nothing moves quickly in China, so stay patient. | rotors
02/7/2012 16:43 | have e-mailed d bailey that replied for the company last time for an update, also asked about a relist of shares | cheshire2
02/7/2012 15:05 | where are the accounts ??? Im trying to keep cheerful but disillusionment is creeping in like the old drip drip chinese torture !! If accounts are presented can shres not be relisted so that those who are tired of all this can exit !! | curt3

16/5/2012 14:40 | Irenekent I don't mind the Chinese or the Russians but regrettably this type of thing seems to be ingrained in their culture. I was reading an article by a Russian talking about corruption there and she said it is simply the way of life and will take generations to improve. Mind you - looking at some of the events in other English run companies lately, it seems the same goes on here and the sense of fair play just an illusion. And I guess the other thing to consider is who was originally to blame for this? Ex private school and Price Cooper Waterhouse and British. It also seems some of his former colleagues are also carrying on the tradition elsewhere on AIM. | loverat
16/5/2012 14:15 | I would like to surmise that after the well publicised failure of the great Anthony Bolton to make headway in China, due to fraud and other dishonesty, that we might hope for things to change in that region. Perhaps it may dawn on the Chinese that if they are ever to make real headway in world finance they must be seen to be honorable. Maybe a new dawn approaches where private investors such as us will not expect to be shafted every time we invest our hard earned cash in China. | irenekent

15/5/2012 21:01 | The Annual report should give a good indication of expected value. (if any). At least there is some life left in the old dog. | unionhall
15/5/2012 18:41 | Vaguely encouraging I suppose, particularly on the further developments in the summer. Difficult to know whether he is talking this up or down. If I was in his shoes, given the history here, I would talk it down...so fingers crossed! | topvest
15/5/2012 18:09 | News Alert Letter to Shareholders Posted: 15 May 2012 Dear Shareholder I am very aware that I have not been in communication with you recently, but whilst progress has been made, there is little tangible evidence of the effort that has been made by all parties concerned. The overheads of LAC have been seriously reduced both for 2011 as well as on an ongoing basis, principally as a result of the success achieved in one of the litigation matters in the Far East. More importantly, over the course of the last 12 months, I have personally made a number of trips to the Far East and met with representatives of Richpoint as well as Mr Yilong Chen, the chairman of Zhongying, our largest investment and located in mainland China. These discussions have been slow but steady, and I would like to believe that further developments over the summer will finally provide shareholders with the opportunity for a realisation. The audited accounts will be will be published on the company web site and will be filed at Companies House before the end of June. I will keep shareholders updated as matters progress. Yours sincerely David Buchler Chairman London Asia Capital plc Tel: 0207 647 9900 | unionhall

01/4/2012 18:36 | I'm not sure why they need a physical office at all really, but lets see what they have to say in the next annual report. Anyone know when? They have until the end of July, but shouldn't really take that long this time. It's not as if much is happening! | topvest
