Nothing wrong with mopping excess shares even if the share price drifts lower as it benefits all shareholders with increased NAV and puts more pressure on Esken

Still mopping up and not bidding for stock. Good for long term shareholders. APH stake is now losing money

To me it's a conscious decision to mop up shares rather than chase them. They are happy paying 15p and won't chase it higher. Wouldn't surprise me if they are working on taking out APH. They might be able to get it for 70p now

If someone else bought that 4m shares then why can`t LDG buy back larger amounts ?
APH is sinking like a stone but LDG don`t seem interested in buying more.

Shame but for a minute I thought they had bought back 4m shares but reckon they are the 122k trade. Good to see someone else is mopping up shares too

Agree they are playing games with Esken. I'm also surprised they haven't increased their stake in APH given the recent drop in their share price This is the only investment where they are currently under water

It's pretty simple. If you want more for your shares don't sell them back to the company..

Playing wait and see, let's see if ESKN will sell at 15p - they look like they need the cash.

New strategy at play. Only mopping up instead of bidding for the stock

First time in a while they haven't been able to get 400k shares. Looks like they weren't prepared to pay more than 15.1p yesterday

500000 and 400000 shares purchase at 15.1p. Have they bought 900k today or is someone else buying too.

Plenty of sellers out there but agree if they want to buy around 15p then try will have to stick to 500k daily. I still expect them to buy up Eskens stake but they are probably waiting for 17p

You will need a good supply of sellers to do that.

6.8m shares bought back so far 105.5m to go. They have upped the purchases to 400k per day and expect them to keep upping it during the summer

They are in no rush. They want to keep the share price at this level as each share purchase is accretive to the NAV. If the buyback finished tomorrow we would be back to 13p. Difference this year is that the cash has been invested in a few stocks, whereas last year the NAV was virtually all cash

At the current rate of spend/acquisition it will take more than two years to reach the £15mn/112mn max target. However the buyback stops by the next AGM - in 1 years time - next May.

Yep I suspect buyback price will need to increase now for them to find the volume they need

Appears to be a change of strategy. Highest number of shares purchased on a single day and at the highest price so far
