At the current rate of spend/acquisition it will take more than two years to reach the £15mn/112mn max target. However the buyback stops by the next AGM - in 1 years time - next May.

Looks like it's 395,000 shares in tomorrows RNS

Yep I suspect buyback price will need to increase now for them to find the volume they need

Appears to be a change of strategy. Highest number of shares purchased on a single day and at the highest price so far

150000 @ 15.298 is probably tomorrows RNS.

I think the buybacks are just notional at the moment as I am hoping there are other plans for their shareholdings in the companies they currently hold

yeah, thought it must be them picking up that chunk under 15p.

Interesting that they weren't involved in the 2 large trades on Friday

I checked their website this morning and noticed it is way out of date
Looks like the company secretary has fallen asleep. Pull your finger out

If they are part of the buyback, it would be at an attractive price and accretive to their nav. It's 4% of the outstanding shares. Quite an overhang cleared, no matter who the buyer is.

All their uk stock purchases are doing well so agree worth following then. Question is which one are they going to bid for ? Looking forward to Mondays RNS to see what these large trades are about as it would be a change in strategy if they are buybacks. Could also be another investor taking a stake for a quick turn

Interesting to see what this is.

yes, maybe it's semantics on company classification
it would be good to see monthly or quarterly factsheets on investment performance, commentary, official NAV calcs etc.
ultimately you're right - it relies on successful investments and material increases in NAV

I’m not sure about that - take a look at the discount for MVI !
Also conversion wouldn’t remove what I think are the things depressing the share price ie the worry around the Esken shareholding, DBAY’s majority stake, the sway DBAY surely holds over the LDG Board and the opaque nature of DBAY’s activities as Investment Manager who are also playing their own book at the same time.
There’s no obvious short term outer to close the current gap with NAV given the buyback isn’t having that impact so my investment feels like a proxy for cash and a slow burner as it gradually increases its NAV through good investments and buybacks.
If I was a more involved investor I would probably look harder to deploy my cash elsewhere.

does anyone know if the company have considered becoming a registered investment trust?
would be unusual for a listed equity IT to trade on a discount of 30%

At the moment that looks the case, but if DBAY keep picking up bargins interest here should pick up. However, I've been thinking that for 12 months!

Decided to buy into Trifast directly after looking into it. They’ve since released a decent update. Will buy more if it falls back. Might be more profitable to follow the LDG / DBay purchases rather hold LDG as even this second buyback isn’t stimulating a rise in the share price

Circa 3m shares bought back so far at circa 15p at 150k shares per day. Has kept the share price stable at this level and added 150k to the NAV. Investec doing a good job this time and just mopping up shares

I wish they could buy back all the shares at 15p as that will increase the NAV for the rest of usI'm pleased that Investec have held firm this time and not bidding up the price. They are picking up 150000 shares a day at circa 15pProbably trying to call Eskens bluff whom they know have to sell their sharesGood thing is this has put a floor on the share price

Plenty of shareholders seem happy to be selling around 15p suggests they don't have a great deal of faith in the gap to nav closing

They are sticking to mopping up shares at circa 15.15p rather than bidding them up. Suits me fine as it increases the NAV and puts a floor on the price
