Apparently already there are lay offs, and large numbers of businesses throwing in their cards, trying to sell out while there is still some money about to them out.

The numbers are quite amazing re. finance for car purchase, upwards of 80% of new purchases and 60% for second-hand purchases use it. As the man told me last time I bought a car "nobody pays cash anymore".
