"There will be no effective opposition for the next 5 years at least, longer if Farage continues to split the Tory voters"
The tories couldnt provide effective government .So why would opposition be any different? They still are fighting over absolute basics which a child of two could sum up very easily..ie the need for...

a return to NORMALITY..

nothing more or less. But they dont and ,I believe, cant get it. Too brainwashed/sad/ hopeless individuals..............the lot of them.

and the tories are capable of providing an effective opposition?

The ONLY effective opposition is Nigel's lot. The tories are complete history

watch the polls and learn.

It was them too tight, Norman Wisdomesque suits that done Sunak...trousers half way up his calf.....size 10 winkle pickers....the bloke looked a clown.....I kept thinking he was going to holler 'Mr Grimsdale' at any moment. Who the hell was advising him on his attire. Just waiting for all the shady deals to be uncovered that have benefited his family and friends.....before he swans off to California.

Millwall. Where didyou get the idea that the opposition benches have ever provided effective opposition? All the deliver is rhetoric and grandstanding.

Sadly, it appears people have chosen fear rather than hope. No doubt aided by all the far right end of the world stuff the left has been peddling.

Dunno but apparently some Russian big cheese was in the US under cover of Nato to discuss ceasefire proposals. They were apparently unlikely to be acceptable to Ukraine but it signals that the Russians are ready to call it a day on the slaughter. You are so anti US tricky that you are not allowed access to such classified info. I will keep you informed of progress

Given the size of the majority, Labour will now be in power for at least 10 years, albeit with a somewhat reduced majority in 2028 or 2029. There will be no effective opposition for the next 5 years at least, longer if Farage continues to split the Tory voters and the Libdems continue to sustain or engender more support. So as suggested above, Starmer has absolute free rein for at least the next 3 years regardless of performance on the major challenges of boats, NHS, pensions, cost of living, two existing wars ( with related escalation risks) etc. etc.

i hope you do. Cant argue it is a breakout of a period. Where it broke out to, and given sector and others in that moment, make it more concerning

Sad mind - careless.
In ur dotage u have forgotten that more wanted out - and u praise a stunted croaker of a leader who wants to ignore the vote.
Very careless - careless - given u live in the SE.
BTW i have not yet met anyone who thinks this labour lot are other than Jackie smiths - a falsifier of expenses and a Ginge where did I live.
Watch ur back careless - dangerous where u live!

Starmer will steal all our money and spend it stupidly and he'll do nothing to try to stop the boats and he will allow such rampant wokery in the workplace that every employer will up sticks and move to somewhere more sensible. Like North Korea. But hey, it's not likely he's going to be around for long, five years? maybe less

Who cares about the Tories?
Out of power for 5 years.
It will painfully boring talking about them and Farage for the next 5 years.
And the list of potential leaders to replace Sunak is depressing.

PMQ's could be fun if the rubber boats keep coming.
There will always be the usual disaster events to deal with.
A financial catastrophe Worldwide as in 2008 for example.

But Starmer, who looks more like an executive than the previous lot can affort to ignore them and get on with it.
Public opinion can be also ignored for at least 4 years, like Thatcher did.

Love the noises about relationship with the EU.
That Brexit disaster will be reversed without a referendum. Great.
'Brexit will be lost they will shout'...good, what can you do about it?
