The Bank of England warned that the $2tn (£1.67tn) crash in the value of cryptoassets shows vulnerabilities in the market and the need for tougher regulation of the crypto market. The market capitalisation of the sector has tumbled to about $900bn from a peak of almost $3tn late last year."Both the experience that we've had in recent weeks and also the work that we're doing both domestically and internationally, I think further draws out that there are issues both in the unbacked crypto world and the so called stablecoin," governor Andrew Bailey said.... Yes.But he will have to moderate Net Zero policy. This winter should see it in tatters. After another almighty row.Net Zero will lose the election. People won't vote so Labour will get in.Net Zero should be an Aspiration not some torture to inflict and destroy everything.Moderation and Realism should be Message.

John Redwood@johnredwoodThe new Chancellor takes over a Treasury/OBR that produces wildly wrong forecasts, landed us with a high inflation and now recommends recession policies. He needs to change a lot.5:14 am · 6 Jul 2022·Twitter Web App

Those Tories who think there's anyone else who can lead them to victory at next GE apart from Boris are deluded.
Most of those wanting him to go will be remainers still sore at brexit.
Boris will survive.

Can see fuel and power shortages this Winter gtg. We need a PM who's prepared to stand up to the Yanks & get the deal done to carve up the Ukraine. If the Russians make a serious play for Kiev over the Winter it could turn very nasty indeed.

Agreed entirely Scruff.
