Just put the news on and saw Johnson saying 130 people have applied for a visa to drive wagons. It's early days he said, there's a worldwide shortage.

I'd agree with him, there are worldwide shortages, including common sense, but the problems are particularly acute in the UK.

You can read what you want in any newspapers, but I can tell you I have been waiting in excess of 4 months for my HGV license, this will go some way to explain driver shortages.DVLA working from home and spending too much time in the garden

If our bloated and overpaid civil service ever actually did any work we shouldn't need foreign drivers to apply for visas.

as I was typing it crossed my mind that someone like you would say that . it is a very stupid thing to say Scruff1 . I will explain why but I should not have to if you really were a TEACHER . James makes factual statements and Johnson tells lies or is disingenuous - simple to anyone intelligent . Did you LIE to your students or were you disingenuous ? HOPE NOT !! FFS listen to James now and tell me when he makes a false statement - show some guts sport !

Maybe they could do what fruit farmers do when they have a glut. Give em £50 and you take your own pig. About £100 I think the lads round here pay to have it turned into cuts. May not be much left of your trailer by the time you get it there!

Not leaving things til the last minute used to be taught from an early age. Same as not getting into debt. Sound advice that has stood the test of time. Seems to have been abandoned.
Good point. How come the farmers say they will have to kill their pigs because there is no one to kill their pigs

I was wrong and it is only 27 according to James on LBC . you brextremists should listen to James occasionally and you might start to realise the error of your ways . You are probably too indoctrinated by the Mail etc to ever see the light . JAMES usually talks good sense .

I think what we are seeing is the inherent weaknesses in 'solving' issues with FOM. It covers and stores them. One of best arguments yet for Brexit. The other problem that has been a disaster waiting to happen is 'just in time'. The very name sounds like its teetering on the edge.
