You may argue that about rising wages but not greater wealth

scruff I was being sarcastic, I'll leave you to work it out from there

careful how do rising wages and greater wealth result in anything other than higher costs? There was a time not so long ago households had a single wage earner and house prices were a multiple of that single wage. Now there are two wage earners generally house prices are a similar multiple of the combined wage. No advantage.

There comes a point where you do not need to work. You have enough money to last you longer than you will live.

At last Boris the blusterer is talking some sense.
No more cheap east EU immigrant labour.
Properly paid UK workers instead.
The market is doing the job that trade unions failed to do.

Already some younger people are training to be HGV drivers.
Reported this week was a teacher giving up teaching to become an HGV driver.

Henry Ford had to increase wages to retain his workforce way back.
And they in turn became purchasers of Ford cars.

Maybe Brexit will work after all.
It will take time but it looks much more promising.

Making sure well off non working pensioners pay more into society is another good move.
Anyone who does not work should not be made too comfortable.

We all appreciate the advances made in communication - smart phones etc.
Seems the clueless driving policy cant think outside the app.
Whilst it may be an aid - it cannot be the only.
A simple mind may forget that a smart phone with bank debit card is all a thief wants.
When all is lost - just the fault of the bank.
Not the fault of the bank - - thr individual

"Well, I know a nurse and a doctor, husband, and wife, and they tell a different story, mostly unvaccinated (know better) lot, the few double jabbed ones are old or have other issues"

So these mostly unvaccinated know better ones.
Co-morbidities?
Or fit and healthy?

The numbers do not lie.
Anyone under 50-55 Recovery Rate is 99.5%
For anyone under 20 it's 99.995%

Pre vaccine for known Official Cases for ALL ages Recovery Rate was 97%/ CFR 3%
As we hit Dec 2020 the RR rose, and the CFR fell.
Now Recovery Rate is 98%, CFR 2%

And we know that Official Case numbers do not include Mild/ Asymptomatic cases.
ie CFR is alot lower than headline rate for official closed cases.

If these vaccines work(why dont they stop the takers getting infected, or transmitting the virus) and why are boosters needed every 6-12 months??
