Defund the Police shriek Democrats.

First thought of most rational sensible person is?

"Won't that result in an increase in crime?"

Defund the Police Democrats continue to cry.

Result, in Democrat run Cities/States where Police actually have defunded the Police is -

“What happens when Democrats take control of major capital cities??”

For example, Los Angeles was once one of the most beautiful cities on the entire planet, but today it is being described as a “squalid cesspool”…

The Democrat-controlled city of Los Angeles has devolved into a squalid cesspool of rampant crime, uncontrolled homelessness and filthy streets littered with trash, drug paraphernalia and human waste.

That’s the observation of numerous Californians, including award-winning actor James Woods, who lamented on Monday that the picturesque city he once loved “is gone.”

"Hence the mass migration from such places to – Texas/Florida"

What happens when you defund the Police??

Crime soars!!! Duh!!”

"Defund The Police" Movement 'Coincided' With Biggest Surge In US Violence Since The '60s, FBI Data Confirms" <-----------------FBI Figures.

Based on preliminary FBI data, America experienced one of its most murderous years in decades.

Vox reports US' murder rate likely increased by 25% or more in 2020, but official FBI data won't be published until later this year. The numbers are likely to be historic. "That amounts to more than 20,000 murders in a year for the first time since 1995, up from about 16,000 in 2019," according to crime analyst Jeff Asher.

John Roman, a criminal justice expert at NORC at the University of Chicago, told Vox that the 2020 murder surge "is the largest increase in violence we've seen since the 1960s when we started collecting formal crime statistics."

Many experts, or at least the ones Vox sourced or interviewed, "still don't know why murders surged last year."

For starters, perhaps liberal-run cities defunding the police and deciding not to prosecute petty crime could be some of the triggers for the increased violent crime.

Mike,

”Latest UK Data: Vaccinated People 3-Times More Likely To Die From Delta Variant Than Unvaccinated”

A report published Friday by the UK government agency Public Health England reveals individuals who received a COVID-19 vaccine are more than three times more likely to die from the Delta variant than unvaccinated people.

A briefing titled, “SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and variants under investigation in England,” examined all currently known varients of COVID-19.

Regarding the most dangerous variant, the Delta, the UK government admits vaccinated people are 3.25 times more likely to die than those who did not take the experimental shot.

Out of 117 total deaths occurring within 28 days of infection, 44 of them were unvaccinated individuals.

Charts show one of the deceased had received their first vaccine dose within 21 days of dying and 19 of them received one vaccine dose more than 21 days before passing away.

"The effects of COVID, as we now know, are relatively trivial"

Maybe they are on the vaccinated and young, but while there are lots of cases the chance of a nasty mutation is the problem. It's a rush to get everyone vaccinated and allow the Scientists to come up with better protection.

Can't quite agree, careful.

The effects of COVID, as we now know, are relatively trivial.

It is the effects of the government's insane overreaction to COVID that might well be irreversible.

The uk economy could tank this autumn.

Hang on for a rough ride, I think the market will crumble.
Spending over £200bn to hide the disaster will not work for much longer.

Covid effects will be irreversible.

Sweaty smelly people will not wish to crowd together as much in the future.
People will be more hygiene aware.

For a bit of fairness. The wife has had a few problems over the covid period. Gp;s have been useless but good at passing things on to the hospitals who have been absolutely fantastic. They are massively overstretched and the GP's are piling their work onto them. I know a number of people who have been advised by their GP,s to go to A+E -FFS. Her hospital specialist asked her GP to undertake a blood test -which is what normally happens - but they refused. Seems ease the pressure on the NHS mantra works in reverse for GPs. Its a scandal. Maybe the Health Sec has been too busy shagging non execs

scruff1,
It seems you are right based on what elderly neighbours are telling me and I wonder if some surgeries and doctors are making covid the excuse for an easy life as very few of them will be on the front line here in Torquay where covid cases were quite low. awful thing to say but might be true
