03/12/2020 20:40 | How quickly things change. All of a sudden we are about to have a new US President who is proud of his Irish Catholic heritage. That usually means he holds the United Ireland dream, with no occupying or controlling UK influence. An embarrassing history. Biden is also pro EU. and will make efforts to strike a new and better relationship with the EU. unlike the hostile Trump. This has changed the landscape for Boris Johnson and his post Brexit plans. | ![]() careful
03/12/2020 20:39 | Just out of curiosity, who is running America at the moment? Is Trump still in charge? | ![]() ignoble
03/12/2020 20:38 | In my view the EU will not be able to comprehend the new landscape CP. The shift that Boris has promised will be too much of a climb down, they will appear weak & compromised so cannot persue a deal at any cost. I genuinely think it would be better for both sides to break clean then look to build mutually beneficial ties on a more targeted basis. That way theres no fudge & no compromise. | utrickytrees
03/12/2020 20:36 | Bo Jo must be nut nuts. Committed to a deal You get no votes from that BJ | ![]() jl5006
03/12/2020 20:33 | From 5x's post #322354 The Prime Minister has repeatedly said he is “absolutely committed” to a deal but not at any price, adding: “It’s about making sure that the UK is able to run its own laws, its own fisheries and so on. That fundamentally is what it’s all about.” So if it’s a really bad deal, it is probably safe to assume, it’s a no deal. He's supposed to be dead in a ditch as well, but he's not, so I think it's probably safe to assume Doris's word is worth the air expended on it's utterance and no more. | ![]() maxk
03/12/2020 20:09 | Farage is saying nothing but he is watching. He is a political giant who has achieved more than those since Thatcher put together through his raw courage standing in the nest of vipers in Brussels. If Boris sells out on Brexit, he and Tories are finished. Allowing talks to draw out is playing EU game and one they're practised in the art of.....dangerous. Walk away...no deal. | ![]() cheshire pete

03/12/2020 18:31 | This is so typical of Brussels: they just love playing games with any negotiations; they draw them out while feeling so fuggin important and while having dinners galore at EU citizens expense. | ![]() poikka
