All who came here were advised of the need to register for citizenship.
Many resisted - Why??

Was a simple process - and their failure not to do so was the subject of a huge outcry.

I remember reading the 'daily gleaner' in Jamaica when I was 17 y.o and the British Labour party had a 2 page advert for Jamaicans to come and drive London buses. That must have been the start of the 'Windrush' thing.

Those who came to work and live here for many years and had families who are now adults should be entitled to full citizenship and I find it disgusting that our government at the time (Labour I believe) could have been so stupid.

Whereas the scum that's coming in illegally should be thrown out, tout suite.

It's interesting, Max, that comments are not allowed for any Telegraph article with any connection to race whatever, however small.

Barnier says there is no agreement on financial services.
We are desperate for an agreement on this.
Financial services has been an important source of UK wealth for centuries.

Fishing is tiny, not important.
But the head of Goldman Sachs warned that the uk economy will be in serious trouble if the City loses its top position.
Let us hope we can get a deal similar to the one we have.

The EU. Countries would love to get a chunk of our financial services.
They gave us a soft deal just to keep us in, but now the gloves are off.

Remainers voted to ensure that EU. is not able to destroy our top industry.
Brexiteers have handed them a huge potential gift.
Without knowing it Brexiteers are the EU's best friend in the long run.
Ironic.

This site has some very sophisticated screening capability but the data is incomplete - IE. lots of stocks show a null market cap.
LSE, www.londonstockexchange.com, also has stock screening but it has been recently revamped and I have not recently used the screener.

as expected, more and more job losses announced..

As furlough is now coming to an end, the number losing their jobs will only increase over the next few months.

The initial 3 month payment hols for mortgages and credit cards also come to an end this month.

Btl investors will be able to evict non-paying tenants from next month.

Forced sellers of properties will result in lower house prices...

You might be right cheshire pete but I like to think you're not on this (rare!) occasion. I think those two are ghosts at their own funeral who have no influence whatsoever on the living.
