The market ran away with itself. The US reaching record highs during a world wide pandemic.

Hello?

Economic reality vs stock market = complete and utter mismatch.

Something has to give. Don't find yourself in high PE stocks (apart from ONLY the very best) when the FED music stops.

There is only one game in town at the moment which offers value and predictable income streams and that is tobacco.

IMB yielding c9.4% dividend (post the recent dividend cut) which is easily payed out of cashflows that are yielding c18% return on today's share price quote.

The company could nearly buy back ALL of its enterprise value within a 10 year period assuming tobacco sales hold up. BAT the other day have reported increasing revenue off the back of COVID and so to has Philip Morris when it BEAT earnings expectations.

When in doubt, vice always wins.

That's what the shorters would love you to do. They have been out in their masses trying to find anything remotely negative to post, probably to the point of talking to themselves with different handles. There was going to be a pull back anyway, as the rise was very quick. Add in loads of negative posts and everyone thinks the world is ending. The same posters will be logging in with their ramping profiles once they close out and the world will all be great again lol

So will this mean we have to abolish the royal family?
Documents from the early 1700's show that literally "all the Royal family" was heavily invested in the South Sea Company (which crashed in a notorious market bubble) - including Kings Charles II, James II, Queen Anne, and George I. The South Sea Company's primary purpose was

Reality check:

Unilever tried to shift their headquarters to the Netherlands but it was rejected by shareholders because it would have forced the company out of the precious FTSE 100. The decision to unite the company under a UK umbrella is the second choice and not the primary choice as previously decided by the board of directors.

The curbs to combat coronavirus mean more than a fifth of average outgoings have not been possible since March. This could have an impact reducing borrowings.

Mark BPosted June 11, 2020 at 5:55 am | PermalinkGood morning.First may I thank our kind host for this article and to the final paragraph which casts light in an area that has not, once again, been touched by our media. The issue of slavery, particularly black slavery, needs to be put to bed. There has always been a slave trade in Africa. All what happened was that white colonialists provided yet another market. That does not in anyway make what happened any less wrong but, we need to understand the FULL HISTORY and not just that which others for their own ideological reasons wish to portray. The other issue I have with events recently is that of the law. The law is the law and, if you transgress it you should expect due process to be applied. The very fact that criminal acts have been committed and nothing is done about it is, in my opinion, as serious dereliction of duty on the part of law enforcement and the government. Too often I am reading criticism of this government and its failure to act on key matters. Confidence is slowly falling away and concerns expressed about the governments viability. Sadly, as we have just had another GE we are stuck with this lot for another 4 years. Just think of the damage this lot will cause over that period of time compared to what they have done in the last six months.I am more and more coming round to the opinion that we need older and wiser heads in government or, we need a short sharp back bench rebellion. In short, the Cabinet needs a kick up the backside !
