05/6/2020 15:48 | Min. That one sided agreement was a Treeza and Olly production. It cost her job in the end. And never got it approved. Boris was elected on a quite different mandate. | maxk
05/6/2020 15:42 | No competitive tenders. No accountability. Just corrupt government. We might as well have Putin. At least he is a proper leader. A man amongst men and would whip poor little Boris in a mind or physical fight. | minerve 2
05/6/2020 15:40 | Billions going to the mates of Boris and co and it is OUR money taxpayers. I just don't get how this doesn't make you morons angry. | minerve 2
05/6/2020 15:38 | Anyone remember Cambridge Analytica? Anyone following Faculty and Palantir? The contracts now released show that the companies involved, including Faculty and Palantir, were originally granted intellectual property rights (including the creation of databases), and were allowed to train their models and profit off their unprecedented access to NHS data. Anyone have links to these guys? | alphorn
05/6/2020 15:37 | maxk There was a political declaration that both sides spent a great deal of time on and agreed last year. If Boris and Co are just going to run a steamroller through it all like a group of spoilt public school boys what was the point putting all the effort in to agreeing one in the first place? More importantly, what sort of message does this send out to other countries we are looking to do business with? Come on, please grow up, we are not in your world of window and toilet cleaning for a fiver here and a tenner there. This is the UK government! | minerve 2

05/6/2020 13:51 | G2 - win/win was booted out the window early on. On another subject the US jobs report just now is a bit of a surprise! | alphorn
05/6/2020 13:47 | Alphorn, I am absolutely not a fan of Mr Cameron, but I don't think he bears much responsibility for what happened then. By all accounts he made it very clear that he needed some help, and that the situation in England was distinctly unsettled. But this was when the EU did not do compromise. At all. They told people the way it was going to be and that was that. How much they have changed remains to be seen. | grahamite2
05/6/2020 13:44 | Pleased they did offer him FA. If they had we would have still been in the EU. Now is our chance, get out and stay out. | excell1
05/6/2020 13:42 | G2 - as with whirlwinds there is often collateral damage. (I agree btw that Cameron was weak/treated badly or both at the outset). | alphorn
05/6/2020 13:31 | Spot on Jacko. What Cameron was asking was ludicrously little but they sent him away with a flea in his ear. Now, let those that sowed the wind reap the whirlwind. | grahamite2
05/6/2020 13:19 | cm44. Take care. Infection rates were very high here but everyone seemed highly disciplined with particular care with disinfectant for hands every 10yds. Cleaning, cleaning and cleaning again everywhere. The forecasts on balance don't call for a second wave but it only needs a few idiots to restart hotspots. You get the impression that any large gathering would be dealt with very quickly. Borders are still basically sealed. Travel plans on hold. edit: if you can get across to France this year they are also very strict about the pandemic and seem to be in control. | alphorn
05/6/2020 12:38 | Alp has only good words to say about 3 posters namely Alp, Alp Oh! and Alp. | maxidi
05/6/2020 12:35 | ALP, I think a second wave is inevitable, you only have to see the thousands gathering in London and elsewhere all shoulder to shoulder supporting a violent shoplifter, meanwhile I am nearly three months into home exile and more to come, Wales different to England the mind boggles. | cm44
05/6/2020 12:34 | Which part was waffly nonsense then Alphorn. You really are so precious arent you!! Not surprised you're a Remainer. You have all the weak kneed dishonest traits in spades. Even more worrying you can see such and think you know it all. | geckotheglorious |
