Think the virus as an earthquake with a magnitude of 9.5...aftershocks and .. tsunami to follow.

I will trust more (at the moment ) companies which will cancel their future dividend right now, min of one year. Sure that alone is not reason for investment but in case of Lloyds based on other info, for me it is.

If one takes the strong possibility of Lloyds dividends on 2020 results being postponed what that do to the share price. Probably not in the current price?

fwiw - chloroquine can be administered in France to patients suffering from the severest forms of the coronavirus but only under strict supervision, Health Minister Olivier Veran said on Monday.

Sanofi is a producer - brand name Plaquenil.

I will update if anything of interest.

It has to be another wave of virus shock or business warnings to see below 28p.

If Business warnings (and bankrupt) start coming in now, we definitely haven't see the bottom yet.

I'd be waiting on the 20's before buying back in. 28 definitely and 26 a distinct possibility.

It is of course an ever changing story, however given that the world economy is shot to pieces and the virus is only just starting to spread, then I believe there will be lots of "buying opportunities" ahead.

The USA is the driver here and only now are they beginning to get hit and hit hard, as such I think we will see a rapid spread over the coming week and then REAL panic will hit the markets.

I hope I'm wrong but..........

Of course we wont get chloroquine...we didnt discover it's valuable use now..

If it is used here..the medical establishment here will think.....

we wont get squillions of research money to get a drug we invent [that wont work] with killer side effects
we wont get a gong.
we wont destroy the wicked tory government

That is why we will NEVER get this drug here.

Our sweet little [and I use the term to describe their collective characters] medicos wont allow it.
I still think ,however, that we should ALL abide by Boris' lockdown rules for two reasons
1.Not to do so will scare the elderly so that they will NEVER go out of the house. Already the MSM has destroyed their peace of mind...let's not add to it
2.If we dont comply something much worse is on the agenda.

Don't you save your own tomato seed, mylife, Mike?

I haven't grown toms for several years, we have a bad blight situation. A mate bought some quite expensive new f1 blight resistant seeds, and they were blight free (most others got blight, the most cruel things going, attacks just the day they're perfectly ripe!). He gave me some toms, I ate most and saved the seeds from a few. Last year they grew no problem, blight free (wasn't expecting that). Got plenty of inch tall toms atm from the seeds of mine last year. Hopefully, they'll be blight free too.

"This is a propaganda operation that hides various truths. The first and most important is that the culprit for this pandemic is the Chinese regime. It does not take any conspiracy theory to point it out. It was widely recognized that Chinese live animal markets are a very serious epidemic hazard. The very severe communist regime of the people's republic, which controls everything for the welfare of the citizens, has been unable to shut them down. When the first cases emerged, it took forever for the highly efficient Communist Party to react and instead devoted its myriad resources just to hiding the truth. When it could no longer hide what was happening, it intervened brutally, and only in this way has it managed to stop the epidemic, not without first giving rise, due to its negligence, to the virus spreading throughout the world.

"The second is that communist bestiality is not necessary to effectively combat the virus. Infinitely better results can be achieved with capitalist intelligence, as has been shown by South Korea, which, having been much more capable than China, is not dedicated to paying for items in the West. For days now, this country has shown how valuable it can be to carry out massive tests. That is the best way for now, and the incredible thing is how long it took the Italians and the Spanish to realize this. However, this delay is not a consequence of not being blessed with two communist regimes, but rather of being governed by incompetents who, above all in our case, are that, socialists and communists.

"China wants to take advantage of this calamity to wrest global leadership from the United States. It will be the communist country that makes us the most energetic medicines to fight the virus. It will discover the vaccine before anyone else and distribute it worldwide in record time. It will buy our assets and invest in our countries to rescue our economies. Ultimately, it will claim to be our savior."

The virus is clever. Indeed it does not differentiate at all. On immunosuppressant drugs, then try avoiding sources of infection. Good luck
