24/3/2020 10:02 | Tonic water has quinine in it. Be patriotic - save the National Health Service - drink G and T in large quantities. A pint for breakfast is not too much. You know it makes sense and Boris will be pleased with you.. | cobourg1
24/3/2020 10:00 | @Aljm, Don't get me wrong. If it works, well worth giving it a bash. My main issue is with him claiming this is "just the flu" It's complacency like that that has us in this mess. That and China lying about the death count. | crossing_the_rubicon
24/3/2020 09:59 | "gaffer7324 Mar '20 - 09:47 - 8046 of 8047 You'll probably get the same side affects if you look at paracetamol" Death? If you take 2gm of paracetamol? | crossing_the_rubicon
24/3/2020 09:53 | CtR, gotta say you are right ,i dont think there is any medication that does not have side effects, but 2 Grams in medication is a big dose, they normally work in milli or micro grams of the actual ingredients. Gaffer has a point , you can overdose in virtually any mediocation if you take the wrong dosage, Chloroquine is very effective, there is a case in the U.S that the patient made massive steps to recovery in a few hours, they didnt think he would survive the night, he asked for Chloroquine, he woke 5am the following morning, and was told he could go home after a few more days of recovery, So the point is, given a choice of living , or having a few nasty side effects, which would you choose ? | aljm
24/3/2020 09:47 | You'll probably get the same side affects if you look at paracetamol. | gaffer73
24/3/2020 09:37 | I'd believe Dr John Campbell if I were you Mr.elbee not the halfwits you;re obviously talking to. It is anything but mild flu. | crossing_the_rubicon
24/3/2020 09:30 | Trump has a point. Why should the cure be worse than the disease? Households with vulnerable people should be in lock down but healthy people should carry on working and if they catch the virus they mostly get better within a week. Same as flu! | maxidi
24/3/2020 09:29 | Because that has been the agenda all along, and the meeja and the liberal elite have taken every opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. The democrats are blocking a 1.8 trillion dollar rescue package in Congress....great eh? cant you see Andrew Marr blithering on about fascist governments restricting freedom and failing to deal with the virus??and causing world economic collapse?... When this is over and the books come out showing all of this...for not ebola..not swine flu..and a ready cure available all the time... | mr.elbee
24/3/2020 09:26 | Mr.elbee, exactly the same in Italy They are starting trials in New York city this morning on Chloroquine and a couple of other drugs, they have proved they work, and work FAST, why is the UK not trialing these ? | aljm
24/3/2020 09:23 | mr.elbee. But it will get rid of ALL right wing governments in the West, end Brexit, and ensure world socialism. Why should this plague change our politics or that of euroland. I certainly hope it won't ? | maxidi
24/3/2020 08:53 | 2 doctors and two nurses I have spoken to say it is mild flu. I know the daily mail says otherwise. I know who I believe. Italy cannot be generalized from 1.they are genetically very different 2.They have had TB and serious flu problems which when mixed with corona aint too clever. Germany is through it nearly, with very few deaths..a much better comparison.IMHO | mr.elbee
24/3/2020 08:50 | The share price is what it is prior to a dividend payment, the drop is when it's paid out, only reason this may increase is if the Big Money men decide Lloyds is somehow going to make them even more money. | gbh2
24/3/2020 08:50 | yeah, they are well ahead of it all in Asia...the West has been caught napping and the economic catastrophe for you youngies will be far far worse than the mild flu called corona But it will get rid of ALL right wing governments in the West, end Brexit, and ensure world socialism...this is why the MSM and social media brought the markets down. What's not to like? | mr.elbee
24/3/2020 08:47 | On another point, I have heard that the staff working in Asia for a global firm (didn't specify country) are going back to work now | alexgc
24/3/2020 08:43 | As for the post about every time you go out you are killing someone, what a load of rubbish. By the same token every time you drive your car, every time you consume something, you are killing someone | alexgc
24/3/2020 08:42 | Lol, good point | ignoble
24/3/2020 08:40 | I am not sure why when ever there is a crisis there is talk of the government needing to sort it out and when everything is going well we all think the people in government are idiots. | alexgc
24/3/2020 08:39 | It is not loony to try and stop the infection rate....this is not flu it's a novel virus that the human body doesn't know how to kill (unlike flu - hence why we have flu jabs.). Also it has already mutated and there is nothing to stop it mutating again into something worse....that is the reason of the lockdown....it's not all about numbers... In italy 26 doctors have died from this illness, for no reason but treat patients...so if it means staying in to protect people that are trying to help is that loony | keifer derrin |
