The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918, the deadliest in history, infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide-about one-third of the planet's population-and killed an estimated up to 50 million victims, including some 675,000 Americans

People have the right to freedom of thought, righ??Here is my opinion. This virus is a laboratory design, first to correct the markets and destroy chinece economy but it has given problem to all (economies) of us. Human losses are minimal.

Me too k38. We just do not panic on something we believe we are missing out on.

Stage 1 in Italy is our watching brief. See how containment effects the wider economy.

It’s not often that we can see a position occur a few weeks in advance.

Statistically the first share, from banks, to recover faster to it's high is HSBC.

Looking at the reports there are 2 serious cases in Germany 10 in France & zero in UK. This as reported might only be more serious for the elderly..and in poor health.. looks like I am shopping for my Dad from now on... The Daily Mail reports there are two variants of the virus.. fingers crossed we are spared the worse.

Do not panic unless you mean the virus. If you hold, keep holding.

Now there is what I expect yo see the next big fall of the share prices...the accurate of the impact (soon) to Chinese , American and European economies.. but with the end of virus and billions to be invested and support to the economies will lifts the share prices by end of summer...Unless a miracle happens and makets recover before that.

You can only support a business to a point.
SMEs will bring about the demise of larger companies as credit insurance becomes too expensive.

On a public health issue I hope you’re right but I don’t think the term of the impact on the market is accurate. Especially when considering the numbe4 of zombie companies out there. Remember any financial support is to be repaid at some point even I feel 0%.

Posters opinions here do not effect the share price. Markets are correcting thanks to the virus. Buy the low sell the high game goes on here...The real value of Lloyds share price is 74p . When this is over the share price will jump back to the nearest of its value.

When the USA start testing for Coronavirus and the true numbers are revealed get ready for the move down. This will make the roadrunner look slow.
