"Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority"

-Schopenhauer

Well if i was a robber, i would 'suss' out the properties first during the day, then rob at night all those who had their curtains drawn during the day.

Why do old folk draw their curtains when they go away????"

So a prospective burglar can't see for certain that they are away!!!!!

There is an element of doubt. Furthered by several light timer switches set to go off to mimick someone going upstairs to bed in the evening.

I gather most burglaries take place at 10-3pm (ie when everyone is at work - well apart from Minserve of course. Millionaire old soak that he is)

If we stayed in the EU for much longer there wouldn't be a fishing industry the way the Dutch, Spanish, French violate EU fishing quoters. A month ago one of the biggest trawlers in the world (Dutch) was fishing off the Isle of Wight illegally to the horror of many small local fishing businesses with tiny boats

John Redwood@johnredwoodThe Home Secretary is right to ask her department to implement government policy as promised to voters. Its a pity some see fit to brief against her for expecting timely actions and good results.
