"My husband went in via the steps trying to help the two struggling [children] while I ran to the nearby apartments shouting for help to assist my husband.

"By the time assistance came, the three of them were under the water."

This 'drowning' is weird, they could ALL swim !!!!

The eu's trade deal with Canada took seven years to finalise, hardly a surprise given the eu's arrogance.

Brussels still playing the 'leave with a deal' games to try and stop us leaving. Have no truck with it Boris, the country is behind you. The reason they think a deal in 12 months is 'difficult' is because they don't really want to co-operate. Leave no deal.

Protectionist?

And you want to keep the UK just for ‘inbreds’; like yourself?

EU protectionist racket. Good that we're getting out.

Good to see 'normal' relations resumed Minerve after the Christmas 'truce' lol.

If the EU didn't have these tariffs , the migrants would stay in their own country and develop the veg farms there...thats where our foreign aid should go...to help them do that.

Its the EU's fault they are coming here

I notice no one talks about the huge numbers coming from the third world, africa especially with no control whats so ever."

You must have me filtered then because I am always mentioning it!!

"All very well hernando but where do you draw the line with sob stories, looking after our own and not the rest of the world"

I'm with Pete. Our own sob stories should come first before the rest of the worlds!
And they should be assisted to get back on their feet so they're no longer sob stories in the first instance.

All very well hernando but where do you draw the line with sob stories, looking after our own and not the rest of the world. Ask your self would they do the same for us...remember what happened to the charity worker who went to help out in Syria.

Pete- read up about it and do some distance learning yourself...if you are not shocked and ashamed then you have a heart of stone

Simon reeve covers a little about it in his Doc 'Mediterranean'

BTW i am one of those old, right wing Gammons who voted leave....rather than one of those left wing liberals who want us to stay at all cost...including condoning and supporting the dreadful lives of these people , basically keeping them as slaves.

they are Left wing fascists as was mentioned earlier IMO

In the age of the internet, distance learning possible rather than risking life trying to enter another country illegally. Totally unconvincing, sure they all have 'good reason' other than being economic migrants.
