graham.

It's becoming typical of the Torygraph, and was only put up for a laugh.

However, if the lefties manage to install another stalinist type like our Bekaa, they can kiss goodbye to ever being elected.

Max, the lady's iron fist will be nothing more than a pile of rust by the time labour stand a chance of ruling again.

The misadventure in Europe was to get politically involved, accepting the European Court of Justice as the be-all and end-all! If only the vote for the EEC meant just that, we'd free trade, it all started to go wrong with quotas, butter mountains, beef freezing to control oversupply, paying olive grove farmers cash per tree rather than what they produced! Hardly free trade. CE mark withdrawn for products exceeding sanctioned volume rather than quality! Time to reset from a fresh start!

#287687 a really terrible article from The Daily Telegraph there.

A headline made out of an off the cuff remark made before she was even an MP? Suggesting "a campaign video released last month, [in which] she claimed to be “born to the sound of the roar of the Stretford end” of Old Trafford stadium," was dishonest because Manchester United happened to be playing away on the day of her birth? Do me a favour.

Brussels chaos: Spain followsPoland in shock threat to quit EU 'No more humiliation!'
THERE is mounting pressure in Spain for right-wing parties to back a Brexit-style departure from the EU, following widespread fury across the country at a ruling by the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

So long, been nice to know you!

"the same level of protection guaranteed by the European Union"
Boris Johnson's newly won supporters are demanding that he protect workers’ rights and put an end to zero-hours contracts, according to a survey by the Trades Union Congress.
Blue-collar voters in Labour heartlands, especially in northern England, helped the Conservatives to sweep to victory this month.
The TUC found that the majority of workers, including those who recently switched from Labour to the Tories, wanted the same level of protection guaranteed by the European Union, a £10 minimum wage and higher tax rates for top earners.

Does this mean that works won't have the same level of protection once the UK does leave the EU??
A light bulb moment?

Labour leadership frontrunner Rebecca Long-Bailey said she would like to rule party with 'iron fist'

The frontrunner in the race to replace Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader once said she would like to rule the party with an “iron fist”, The Telegraph can reveal.

Rebecca Long-Bailey has the support of Jon Lansman, Momentum chief, and Len McCluskey, head of the Unite union, and is viewed as the hard-left “continuity Corbyn” option for Labour members.

In an interview with independent website the Salford Star before her election as an MP in 2015, Ms Long-Bailey said she had no control over other members when presented with criticism of her predecessors, Ian Stewart and Hazel Blears.

“I can't rule it with an iron fist, much as I'd love to,” she said.

She has, arguably, made it worse for herself by telling the authorities she would not flee before then doing exactly that and by private jet. From what we know she made a terrible mistake which the courts may have treated fairly. This may not be the case now. What a foolish woman.
