It was an accident. Sure.

She then took off to avoid justice. It's that simple

Guilty.

Well, for once I agree with Minny.

No way should she return and be thrown to the lions.

Cos that's what it will mean: Full on media blitz, activist lawyers and political judges. She has no chance of an even handed investigation and trial.

And before you say our judges are impartial .. look at the Supreme Court.

K38Absolute nonsense Of course she should return - your excuse of not wanting to be here is not an excuse Does that mean she could have robbed, maimed or murdered Hope you're not a defence lawyer although your clients will be easy to find - they'll all be behind bars

M2Did you really write this sh#t..? A footprint of a painful unloved childhood surely...get some help before is too late.AlphornI don't see why she should return. There is no purpose other than to execute a witch hunt. She was on the wrong side of the road. She accepts that. If her husband had not been employed in intelligence at the time she would not have found herself needing to drive on UK roads. This was affectively forced upon her rather than it being of her own free will whilst on holiday. What is important is that procedures are looked at to make sure US families here as part of diplomatic duty are given better access to training, or compulsory tests, to reduce the chances of it happening again. If diplomatic immunity is watered down then families might think twice about serving abroad. That would be a backward step.

Jacko, don't be too hard on Minnie. I noticed he is full of the generosity of the Christmas spirit and he's trying to be very nice to everyone. Last time he posted he wished a painful death and/or some nasty cancer on just half of us, and i doubt it gets better than that.

Hopefully the banks won't meander down for the next 12 months ! I would guess the last of the ppi's will have been put to bed well before then so I can't see that happening.

Why will anybody know by the end of January?

So the question of what flavour of Brexit we will be getting is overriding everything until the end of Jan. I'm ok with that. If it meanders down to 59p I'll be adding again and again at 55p and 50p. I've currently got two lots in reserve but can find a third in a worst case scenario.
Good Luck and a Merry Xmas.

Alphorn

I was under the impression she had been interviewed once already by the police. I cannot see a fair process going forward now that this has become a media circus.

I respect your opinion though. I am sure we agree it isn't as clear cut as some of the clowns on here would see it.

M2 - I can't agree with you on this one. It is true that today it is more of an 'issue' than just an accident. If it was a plain accident then why didn't she do as she had said and waited to be interviewed?
If it had been my child and if it was a plain accident I would not be out to seek revenge. I can not give you my answer if the person ran away; not an easy position.
