Morning all. Vote Conservative or we remain with the same old same old. More division, more uncertainty, more of the the last 3.5 years. Time just wasted when we should be concentrating on the real issues we have here. Do we really want JC, JS or NS anywhere near no 10. Do we?

We need a majority government who can boost our economy now with the right budgetBy JOHNREDWOOD | Published: DECEMBER 11, 2019As feared and forecast here UK growth in the latest figures has slowed again, as has growth in most parts of the world.I have been recommending for sometime that we need both a monetary and a fiscal stimulus. Monetary change awaits a new Governor of the Bank of England, which in turn awaits a  government with a majority. Fiscal change also is waiting on such a  government. The outgoing minority  Conservative government did not think it could get the tax cuts through the Commons that the economy now needs to give it a boost and was apparently unable to agree with officials about a suitable new Governor. The hung Parliament that did so much to create uncertainty and delay over Brexit did other damage as well. It diverted attention from big matters like the need for an economic boost, and made officials minded to avoid  changes on the grounds that there was no Parliamentary majority for anything worth doing. The new government formed by a change of PM has clearly signalled they recognise the need for a budget which boosts incomes, activity and public services. We need it as soon as possible. It is a fundamental reason why we need a government with a majority on December 13th so we can get on with the changes we need. The USA has recently seen a $150bn injection by the Central Bank into markets to give things a boost even though the USA is growing much faster than the EU or UK. The ECB is administering a Euro 20 bn a month stimulus. The UK does not need more Quantitative easing but it could do with facilities for banks prepared to lend against good projects and to consumers to buy homes and cars. Consumers could do with a post Christmas present of keeping more of their earnings to spend on their priorities

Markets will have a manufactured wobble today, with the Tory lead slipping a little in yougov poll. Tomorrow they will jump up, as Tory Maj of 30-40 confirmed. Sad day for Socialists :(

Lloyds forced to reopen HBOS Reading fraud compensation scheme

Humiliation as review attacks scheme’s failings

James Hurley, Enterprise Editor

The Times

Lloyds Banking Group has agreed to restart a compensation scheme it set up for victims of fraud after “serious shortcomings” were found.

An independent review of recompense provided to small business owners who were damaged by the £1 billion HBOS scandal found that the scheme failed to deliver “fair and reasonable offers of compensation”.

Sir Ross Cranston, a retired High Court judge, said that “claims to direct and consequential loss must be reassessed” as he accused Lloyds of an “unacceptable denial of responsibility”.

Latest YouGov Poll for Sky News has the Tories with a majority of 28 seats, but there is a margin of error with could mean a 'hung' Parliament or a comfortable Tory majority. Read here:

Cant beat the german system

DId you know, when you just visit even the local doctor, most of them have machinery in their surgery that only hospitals have here?

Even xrays etc

Some say they pay a lot for that system but its average is around 7% of income.

They do lots of preventative stuff too

When you die it is a transition from life to death. Your conscience carries until death is done.

If you are capable of having kids, I hope your child never gets something really nasty which the NHS can’t afford. You will reflect on thinking that comment is funny.
