09/12/2019 15:59 | @MrElbee "Germany is finished for ten years at least and as a result the EU is doomed..I am only talking economics,mind..the rest, social and political policy is also shot to pieces" Yep, absolutely agree. And with the major payer in EU under stress, someone else will be expected to pick up the tab... Remember those GDP related "fines" They'll be several of them whilst UK economy powers on with fewer regulatory restrictions. "Please, please tell me this"What is there to remain in?" No reason. Not even for "world peace" which NATO has guaranteed, not EU. | crossing_the_rubicon
09/12/2019 15:58 | Boris Johnson refuses to look at photo of four-year-old boy on hospital floor, takes reporter's phone and puts it in his pocket This reporter attempted to paint a heartless Boris on a false notion of him putting an ailing NHS up for sale! using a heart wrenching picture of that poor child as a pawn in a dirty fight campaign! Since he's been in office has genuinely put it top of his agenda, announcing massive amounts of cash to deal with exponentially growing demands on it's services, because of the successes in cancer and other diseases which used to be terminal on diagnosis! Survival rates have dramatically increased over the years, thanks to a fundamentally caring service, he and pretty much everybody would insist on it being free at point of delivery! Lousy attack lefties, don't use tragedy to berate a wonderful service! | gotnorolex
09/12/2019 15:54 | "Seems like the UK is still not ready for Socialism :(" Only an idiot is ready for socialism. Socialism never works, wherever it has been tried. And no, the Scandi countries are not democratic socialist countries either. "Hard work pays!" Much of the time, yes. As it should. Sometimes however it doesn't,unfortunatel | crossing_the_rubicon

09/12/2019 15:07 | 4 days a week.. fully paid salaries.. taxes for the few.. cash for the many.. privatisation of billions...Billions growing on trees.. Promises, promises, promises from a desperate old man with one and only chance to become PM and at least of two more years of the same..a useless parliament controlled by and from Brussels bureauc-rats. I will never trust a desperate and unstable liar person to govern me! | k38
09/12/2019 15:06 | I've always voted for the Tories M4, but I agree with much of what Corby rants on about and to some extent McDonnell too. With limited IQ but a good education, I've done well in life, never been on benefits, even when I was entitled to them. Socialism is fine in theory but in practise, it can never pay for itself... I take a less idealistic and more capitalist, pragmatic approach. Hard work pays! | jordaggy
09/12/2019 14:51 | Jordy - good point. As looks very likely, the Tories will get a working majority. I would see a temporary boost to shares. Until Brexit negotiations start and reality dawns. I have seen it said that a smallish majority for the Tories would give leverage back to the anachronistic ERG, whereas a larger majority would see a softer Brexit. As a Labour supporter, I have given up on any late surge this time. And as a Remainer, I am resigned to leaving the EU (for the time-being). But I won't be throwing my toys out of the pram and leaving the UK, as it is claimed some richer people would do IF JC/JMc got in. Seems like the UK is still not ready for Socialism :( | m4rtinu
09/12/2019 14:47 | I remember the '71 census when up in Burslem, the whole staff of 12,ticked the professional box, and added PUM as a suffix to their name. (Pottery union member) LOL! | gotnorolex
09/12/2019 14:44 | Boris thinking about abolishing the licence fee. Excellent. But you have to wonder why he said it before the result was in. You'd expect the BBC now to ratchet up the anti-Conservative messages - does Boris think they can't get any worse than they already are? | grahamite2
09/12/2019 14:31 | you are very right about polls and I know for a fact that groups..especially straw poll groups on the telly...love to wind up the pollsters. Of course the silent majority never get asked. If I was King polls would be illegal | mr.elbee
09/12/2019 14:25 | Farage "privatisation for BBC ".. about time ! | k38
09/12/2019 14:21 | Calm down boys.. it's over for the opposition, they have to wait another 5 years I am afraid. Media all over Boris, "can we trust you.." Boris to media "people trust me, I don't care about you if you trust me or not" | k38 |
