22/8/2019 13:54 | Germany did this, Britain did that, Japan, Iraq. You seem to forget that it is just a few hundred (at most) leading the country that are responsible. The rest of the population do as they are told, they have no cloice and are trapped by the leadership who are ruthless. | careful
22/8/2019 13:50 | The UK does not require the EU's permission for the UK to leave the EU. England with 84% of the UK's population does not need permission from 16% to leave the EU. | willoicc
22/8/2019 13:47 | In recent history, what about Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria ? Who created all of that ??? Who was responsible for destabilising the region ?? What about ISIS (AQ) ? Who created them and even worse, who trained them ??? | ladeside
22/8/2019 13:46 | Germanys' pillage of Europe during WW2 is exactly the same as its current day pillage of, particularly, the southern EU countries. The only difference is that today they get their way thanks to the collaborators and quislings of the EU rather than by bombs and bullets. A leopard does not change its spots. | willoicc
22/8/2019 13:44 | 5xy: Boris has my support too. We should all get behind him as he works to reverse May's betrayal agreement. maxk is right though, there must be no fudging or trickery. Looks like Macron wants to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution. Big mistake. | cheshire pete

22/8/2019 13:34 | Still Germany killed 20 million Russians. And there other terrible things. NEVER FORGET THE EVILS AND PAIN AND HORROR THAT GERMANY HAS BROUGHT TO THE WORLD IN THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS.LEAVE AND WTOLEAVE AND WTOLEAVE LEAVE LEAVE | xxxxxy
22/8/2019 13:30 | I like the Germans I have met. I can never find much difference between any nationality and ourselves when you get to know them. Maybe Carl Marx was right about one thing; A German coal miner has more in common with a British coal miner that he has with an German aristocrat. The Ruling elites of each country have more in common with each other that they have with the peasant classes. But in times of war you have to brainwash the population into hating the enemy. All countries do this. The trouble with willoicc is that he is still effected by it. Intelligent people should be immune from propaganda. | careful

22/8/2019 13:23 | No willoicc, that is just your interpretation based on your inferiority complex, ignorance and prejudice. | minerve 2
22/8/2019 13:21 | Alphorn, perhaps then you have a degree of understanding of why I have such antipathy towards the EU in general, and the Germans in particular. They still think they are the master race and the irony is that, despite their experiences of German brutality during the war, the rest of the EU are queuing up to be ruled by them. | willoicc
22/8/2019 13:21 | 'According to an analysis of 1998-2002 crime statistics, non-Western immigrants were overrepresented for violent crime, economic crime and traffic violations' Norway has right idea, keep out the low life scumbags. Oh yeah, sure, but I bet they don't kill and injure as many as the Norwegian born Anders Behring Breivik Esquire! ROFLMAO! | minerve 2

22/8/2019 13:14 | The law in this country allows billionaires to "dump" their failed companies and their workforce once they've been asset stripped and inevitably it's the tax payer who ALWAYS has to pick up the bill, whether that be in the form of redundancy payments, pension commitments, unemployment benefit or all of those noted. As for the Scottish Gov, they've been left with little to no alternatives due to these ridiculous UK laws, similar to the Prestwick Airport situation. Standing by and watching either of these ventures fail, would have resulted in serious unemployment for already depressed areas, the knock on effect to other reliant industries which would have resulted in further job losses and serious failure of infrastructure such as essential sea travel by ferry and air travel / freight at Prestwick. Prestwick is also one of only two disaster and anti terrorism hubs in our airspace with Stansted being the other, so further repercussions would have been triggered had the Scottish Gov let Prestwick fail. I suggest some of you attempt to see past the Daily Mail & Express headlines for a change and actually THINK about the utter pish that you post............ | ladeside

22/8/2019 12:59 | "I read that Scotland just nationalised a shipyard, more cash required..." At least they are making an effort in the right direction. Best having the workers building something we creates value than sat at home watching day-time TV claiming benefits which has zero value. Which do you think really costs the most long-term??? | minerve 2 |
