19/7/2019 15:50 | Poikka 19 Jul '19 - 15:04 - 265129 of 265131 I'm against de-selection, except in exceptional circumstances, and he's just created one. I imagine you're thinking about the extremists' takeover of the Labour Party. It's a difficult one - you can't say I'm for deselecting this bloke because I don't like him but I'm against deselecting this one because I do. But you're right that the conduct of the fanatical remoaners has been so outlandish that all norms are out of the window. | grahamite2
19/7/2019 15:49 | and going back to WW2, the colossal inability of the French Admirals to respond to very reasonable requests and options offered by Churchill, which would have saved French ships and French lives, made it necessary to sink the French fleet. HAS ANYTHING REALLY CHANGED? | mr.elbee
19/7/2019 15:35 | 12 days old that news Poikka. Thanks all the same. | crossing_the_rubicon
19/7/2019 15:09 | What these remainers never understand is that a 2nd Euro debt crisis can not be mitigated by us remaining, its when not if. 2.6 t QE and they still can't hold 0% IR. The Euro is the crux of the superstate, when the second domino (brexit) (frexit) etc drops it's all but over. Proper Democrat @ProperDemocrat Correct! Target 2 will skewer the German banking system and the Euro at the same time. We absolutely don't want to be anywhere near the #EUimplosion when it happens. The remainiacs are dangerously-deluded! 19/7/2019 15:04 | Hammond making more waves and now talking about supporting a no-confidence vote to avoid a 'no deal' outcome. This guy seriously needs de-selecting, over 54% in 'his' constituency voted Leave. I'm against de-selection, except in exceptional circumstances, and he's just created one. | poikka

19/7/2019 13:11 | James1Posted July 19, 2019 at 6:46 am |PermalinkThe Remainers still don't "get it". It's not about trade, it's about sovereignty. We don't need a plan to Leave the EU.Reply?glen cullenPosted July 19, 2019 at 8:51 am | PermalinkI agree it was about sovereignty the peoples right to choose our own laws, finance, trade etc. Its sad that we don't hear much about the 17.4 million people who voted to leave in the mediaRemain Tory MPs justify their stance by saying they are doing it for the people; they don't want to see our country destroyed....what they really mean is we know best and forget the referendum voteReply?L JonesPosted July 19, 2019 at 9:53 am | PermalinkSpot on. 'Trade' is being used as 'smoke and mirrors'. Trade is important people trade. It's what we do. But:"....the power to control the supply of money, which is one of the fundamental aspects of sovereignty, has passed from government into other hands..." | xxxxxy

19/7/2019 12:13 | @Mitchy, Indeed. No Deal is actually "WTO deal + all those side agreements that have already been lined up" | crossing_the_rubicon
19/7/2019 12:09 | A 'No Deal' Brexit doesn't mean there will be No Deal. There will likely be a two year period to negotiate a deal where everything will stay roughly the same.Whatever the politicians say in Europe or here it's not in the interest of either side to put barriers in place to trade or for that matter medical or scientific research. Brexit will stop the bleeding of £250,000,000 a week to support slower speed economies which will Never Ever catch up. The EU ,as it is, is a dead man walking. A dream that's turning into a nightmare. Greece were paid off again this summer but that was all kept quiet . Riots in France every weekend.Italy ignoring the EU's fiscal directives and Germany planning an EU army which they will ,no doubt , control. The accounts of the EU haven't been published for years because ,I'm guessing , are in such a terrible mess showing huge short falls. | mitchy
