If only the Met had Boris's water cannon they could deal with the thugs planning to disrupt Wimbledon.

Correct, but near term Lloyd's will be impacted by how Brexit develops. My tuppence worth is that a deal will be very positive for the SP, and no deal very negative. I don't believe there is any other factor which is more significant currently.

Listen to them twitter on about Brexit when they can't even grasp the simple basic principle of an ON TOPIC ONLY LLOYDS thread!

"given that any opposition is closed down and the media is Government controlled"

"Six hundred Tory members – mostly retired and overwhelmingly white."

No, it is just a fact freddie01.

In other words out-of-touch, yesterday's generation, insular, and most likely dead when the real problems hit the fan in 5-10 years' time.

"Couldn't agree more. An eccentric hobby is a classic mark of a true Englishman."

He was lying. And you fell for it! Duh!

Let's see these works of art then Boris. Carrie has probably arranged for some of her mates to paint them during the day when the media aren't outside the front door.

LOL

smartypants, you could use that silly argument for any long term planning - such as bothering to vote, or combatting pollution or global warming. Or even long term investing...

The Guardian surreptitiously bringing hate into the article.

Max - that article is very entertaining. The sad issue is that it is real. Maintaining all allocations/positions for the one way bet.

I think those that voted Brexit deserve a prime minister who makes buses out of egg boxes.

Comment on the FT website this evening:

“Having Boris as prime minister along with Brexit is like being told that you're being hanged in the morning, but , as compensation, the world's least funny jester will be performing a routine for you for 10 minutes before the drop.”
