m4rtnu - "Didn't need to leave to avoid being screwed, we just needed to take a more active role."

Easy to say.

Like when we tried to get the EU to reduce their budget, we were told that we weren't good Europeans. Like when Cammie tried to negotiate better terms prior to the referendum, he was cold-shouldered and given terms that weren't worth the paper they were written on.

With 1/27th, what do you expect? Nah, fugg them, they've had their day, and they've grown too big. Their way of life depends on the continuation of their bureaucratic meddling.

Is anyone worried about the City of London losing its leadership if we leave the EU.
that the reason that London voted to stay.

An estimated 10-15% of UK GDP is earned by the city.
This is big money.
GDP is about £2 trillion. (£2,000bn)
12% is £240bn.

Why do you all think £9bn is important.
You are risk industries worth hundreds of billions each year.

unviable | ʌnˈvʌɪəb(ə)l |
adjective
not capable of working successfully; not feasible:

Don't say he hasn't warned you chimps. I'll be back to remind you when it happens if we get a hard-Brexit.

And I'll be here to remind you when he finds it mysteriously IS viable - if his well-paid job depends on it.

Yes and our £9m is put to good use in the form of grants to companies to relocate from the UK to countries like czech, Slovakia, Rumania. I think we should recalibrate our negotiating and say to Germany, France and Italy that if you want access to our market for your cars, wine and white goods, then you should pay us £9b a year and we can use some of that to relocate your factories to the UK!!!!We are being screwed by the EU and it's time to stop.
