It is good to hear the other side of this debate.
Informed as well.

no doubt Trump and for what it is worth, Farage share that version.

There will be a quick solution to ukraine if Trump wins.

It will not be dramatic, Ukraine will have a lot of freedom, but not to join Nato.

They will have give up control of Donbass and Crimea, the traditional pro Russian regions of Ukraine.
and agreements on trade.

Peace in our time.

Zelensky's defeat of Putin in no way means loss of Russian sovereignty! Ukrainian's just want to be masters of their own land, no ambition of being victorious and rule Russia. Putin the sensible bloke as you misnomered him , is no more than a chancer, gambled on a special operation that has all but bankrupted his economy. All dictators live in past glories and evoke emotions of patriocracy amongst the dispossessed masses! Inventing fairy tales of cornucopia in bygone times. It is no accident that more volunteer army recruits came from Buryatia and Tyva and have died in the special operation. Their main reason for invading Ukrainian is not to occupy or reclaim it for the lost Empire but to steal fridges to keep milk fresh, breaking with the poverty struct tradition of trapping a frog in a milk churn to stop it from going off!

We have to hope that Iran do not obtain nukes.
That would be a dangerous game changer.

Putin has about 5,000 warheads kicking around in his garage he would not miss a few.
Thankfully he is a sensible bloke, and fears Iran almost as much as we do.

Putin re defined the conditions where Russia would be prepared would use nukes.
if Russian sovereignty was threatened he would use them.
up to now it has been a strict 'no first use' strategy.

I always though that in reality Russia could not be defeated over Ukraine because at the point of defeat he would find the temptation to use his big weapons irresistible. the hard line military men would insist.
Kennedy was under pressure from his military to use Nukes when they were being kicked out of Vietnam. but Vietnam was thousands of miles away, had little strategic significance, they had forgotten why they were there.
Added to that there was a risk that the other communist superpowers would get involved.

As Kennedy and Krushchev agreed over Cuba, it was becoming difficult to control the military, so they struck a deal.

The middle East is becoming dangerous, as is Ukraine.
After Putins announcement last week i saw a young Russian diplomat being asked, if Starmer allows Zelenski to use storm shadow missiles, would this make the UK a prime target?
Starmer's mouth is putting us all in danger, thank goodness that Biden ordered him not to do it. Who cares about winter fuel allowance when the flattening of London becomes a real threat.

If you 'ethnically' cleanse Gaza and put them on a boat, they will not be sent to Iran as you suggest, more likely to the UK.
We already have 'successful' legal asylum seekers from Iran.

It would be more efficient to send them straight here, cut out the middle man.

2 state solution will never work, the nutters will always cause trouble over the boarders, best Israel 'ethnic cleanse' Gaza and the west bank and ship the lot out to Iran. Sorted.

No doubt the slaughter is appalling. When wasn't it in a war. If one side is so barbaric that it sites it military logistics amongst civilians what is the other supposed to do. Hamas purposely targeted civilians. The Israelis have done all they could to avoid civilian casualties. The UN has shown itself to be totally useless from the get go. Isn't Russia and China on its security council.I will wager israel is not finished. And I will also wager their eventual return to base will be far less shambolic after a far more successful operation than bidens and the British from Afghanistan. I suspect you have been contaminated with the current western wet woke defeatist and nihilistic way of thinking. On the other hand you could be right and I could be wrong. We will see I suspect before Christmas. Not sure which year

It is obvious that the Falklands belong to the UK, just look at the map.

A few centuries ago a Navy gunship sailed past and stuck a British flag on it.
What more proof do you need, and it is only 7000 miles away, it is a massive 200 miles from Argentina.
Populate with about 2000 Brits and bingo, we have 'legal' British' Island and self determination.

Same with Gibralter why the Spanish think that they have a claim after looking at the map is daft. It is olny about 1000 miles from the UK and the distance from Spain is hard to measure.

They even have a Morrisons store there, and there small population are well looked after.
Self determination again. "legal British land".

That is how we built an Empire, all pink on the map. Bring back the Raj.

Where do you think the 2 state solution should be in the UK careful? For minimum disruption I'd be for that parcel starting at the greater Manchester former mill towns upto the borders of Scotland, it would keep all the economically unproductive areas together that way.

Scruffy, I agree with much of what you say. The only solution is the 'two state solution'. The world (UN) is appalled by the slaughter of innocent women and children, which means Israel is finished.

Who and when was it first said that Jews were not Palestinian?
Jews and the Arabic-speaking groups in Palestine and indeed the whole region show their ancestry is Canaanite, share mitochondrial DNA. Source...myheritage.com

Oh the irony, Cpt Sensible Centrist Careful has perfected his fence sitting technique because he assumes everything which he finds unpalatable is propaganda without actually understanding the meaning of the word. He literally must gorge himself on self certified propaganda from both sides to maintain his centre ground course to prevent anything from actually getting done. No wonder hes a euro phile committed liberal & self certified intellectual.

Israel has no right to exist on Palestinian land. These atrocities began in 1948. Netanyahu isn't even Israeli, he was born in Poland and is a settler, Netanyahu isn't even his real name! Zionism has become very powerful.
