Here’s simple, two point plan for this Government if they want to start to rebuild credibility and trust.

1. Stop pandering to Tory backbenchers.
2. See point 1.

Ref COVID tiers:

It's a LOL moment.

Tories frothing at the mouth about the lack of 'evidence'.

The same ones that voted through the hardest possible Brexit. Despite lots of evidence that it will make the British people poorer.

Translation: 'evidence' is something you can ignore when you don't like it. Truly Trumpian.

- FT comment.

-> "because there's no reason whatever that it should. "

And there is no reason why it shouldn't either.

Exactly. You make my point for me. The two things are wholly unconnected. You might tell careful when you have a minute.

I must admit as this Brexit thing is drawing to a close, I misunderstood the extent of the hatred of the EU. as written on this thread.

Many young people were remainers because they travelled extensively to European Countries and knew many friends.
Also not tainted with WW2 memories.

But the EU .hasperhaps become too complicated.
28 countries, all democracies, each with the power to veto.

'go live in EU.'

I must admit there are some wonderful countries in the EU.
The South of France, Monaco (where Philip Green is hiding out right now).

Love parts of Italy,Capri, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany; these are great countries.
Little wonder that millionaires choose to live there ahead of Wolverhampton, Burnley or Bradford.

Starmer has finally come off the fence. He has ordered labour to ..... sit on the fence. It really is shameful. They couldnt form a government and now they cant form an opposition. Their only contribution in a national emergency is to contribute nothing - just play politics and avoid any blame by doing nothing. Absolutely shameful. She was certainly speaking for the party when she (whoever she was) said dont let a good pandemic go to waste. At least its got Boris off the hook as the worst of a bad bunch
