Off topic, apologies. I have some investments with Hargreaves Lansdown (HL). I have decided to move my wife's pension pot (55k) and my pension pot (£200k) to the HL SIPP. I've already started the process. They give a small cash back offer too. However, in classic style I've just found out about the Interactive Investor SIPP which has very low charges. I'm a little annoyed with myself as the process is started now. Basically I'm looking for some consolation that I've made the right decision. III would be cheaper annually but are there other's on here with direct experiences of both platforms and their choice, customer support etc. Any opinions on what is best on balance?

Another valid US Election question...


During the election, Republicans in the House were able to flip at least 11 seats while the GOP is poised to maintain control of the Senate.

Some conservatives have questioned how such a voting pattern is possible for Biden to win the presidential election, let alone receive more votes than any other presidential candidate in American history, including President Barack Obama’s victory in 2008.

Moderna version looks superior to pfizers in efficacy and perhaps crucially, stability. Will help with the roll out particularly in hotter and more remote areas.

Looks like the mRNA may be the way forward with other vaccines too, for those interested in the science.


Trumps lawsuits are getting thrown out left right and centre too. Seems that tweets can't be submitted as evidence and neither can clips of speeches taken out of context either. I think the next effort will be "I saw it on a website/youtube so it must be true".

The share price move in the news of vaccine and crazy claims of 70 and 80p a share.... no harm of dreaming but calm down people. So Trump was right to claim a vaccine by the end of this year. He was, it is right do not close down restrictions. If for some reason the Democrats were unable to steal the election that is because of Russia involvement. Biden win, no Russia involvement and the American voting system more secure... in the world. Thousands of videos from ordinary people show fraud from Democrats, no from... RussiansIn my opinion, Trump won not only the election but the popular vote this well... think, 73.5 million votes.He claims the top number of votes in history of the American election.

Grahamite2....if you were to cut my leg off it would read Brexit. I'm 100% with Farage and anything less would imv be a bad outcome.

However, the context was in response to milliecusto....just speculating on the share price for other shades of outcome, no way supporting them happening. Maybe use of hard/soft poor, and agree fraud. Press saying Gove and Sunak pushing for an earlier deal. Frost and Boris have to be resolute.

Ladeside - I am optimistic that the vaccines will be rolled out to slow a third wave. The Moderna vaccine is being produced by Lonza, a Swiss multinational; initially in CH and USA. I agree that it takes time before these vaccines are available to the 'general population', but not that much time. In Switzerland the government have talked about H1 2021. (Worth noting btw the amount of time needed for the vaccinated individual to build antibodies).
