Pls get rid of NHS - I will pay for what I NEED.
Getting like the BBC - the NHS - you pay = we give you what we want - whilst paying ourselves silly bucks.

Gecko..I know that you have had a go at me on this thread, can't see why, as I only post the facts as I see them.

I am not taking sides but it does seem that you are being played by Goldfinger16. He or she prods you and you retaliate by posting long cut and paste denials which frankly assure all that G16 is right about you. Keep it up, I find it very funny.

If you did any Shakespeare in your life, you should remember the line 'The Lady Doth Protest Too Much'.

Have a great day.

I understand why some might want to filter me. I have no problem with that. Continue, it means nothing. It wouldn't be the first time someone wants to ignore that I exist, or my views exist, within society.

If all you can do is hit the filter button, go ahead, don't be hard on yourself, we all realise the limited extent of your influence, reasoning and power. That might not be your fault. :)

No-one could claim that Labour was the Party of the working man any more. It hasn't been for many years.

But I think another schedule would be interesting, Max: number of MPs of any Party who have ever had any real world job, "working class" or otherwise. That would also show a steep decline.

Transport upgrades - like HS2 and other such white elephants. (Hopefully not too many of you are offended by such a racially derogatory term)

It should be remembered that a lot of money that would have been spent on frivolous things like holidays and sport is being spent on practical things like home upgrades, transport upgrades, efficiencies in life styles in the work place and at home.
Projects that were left undone for years have now been finished.
If you have finished a project at home during lockdown we'd like to hear about it.
Have a good week-end all....there's always next week.
Good Luck.

LLOY my largest holding and I have shared your concerns EI. I console myself that HMG have nothing to gain by destroying the banking sector though, HMG may want to dump some of the pain onto the banks and their shareholders but, there is a limit as to how much pain they inflict. After all it would be counterproductive if the banks ended up requiring bailouts. Million miles from that, but, it wouldn't surprise if dividends are cancelled during all of 2021 as the economy craters. I'm taking a 2-3yr view on these for share price recovery and the return of dividends.
