27/8/2020 17:50 | £13 a day to quarantine...wonder what formula they used to work out that one...if they can afford to go no holiday why pay £13?...more likely people will take the £13 money and go to work... | diku
27/8/2020 17:23 | Conservative MPs believe the move to drop Brexit from next week’s meeting is posturing by Brussels and is part of a bid to pile the pressure on Number 10 to make concessions. Senior Tory figures have claimed the EU ‘still fails to understand’ that the UK is now ‘under new management’ and will not be pushed around during talks. Believed by the DM but not the markets where GBP continues to strengthen. | alphorn
27/8/2020 17:22 | A general question if I may. I know the banks used to take a small charge for a credit or debit card transaction. Does anyone know if that still applies?I am going into shops and having to use a card for very small amounts I.e today transactions for a £1.00 and one for £2.18. What effect will this have if banks are still charging the same amount? | daddy warbucks

27/8/2020 16:35 | Should the various green agendas have sway- ER green energy stop everything thing then the natural progression for an honours degree would be to be farmer without a tractor - though few even understand agriculture. And to walk everywhere - for ye wish to ban transport. How will couch potatoes manage when there is NO public transport. Khan the wimp wants all to cycle around whilst being driven around in an armour plated jeep. London will soon be just like a prosperous "western" town built at the end of a railway. Carey street approaches for the multitude - though the likelihood of dying is minimal - yet project fear has fxxked the nation. thank u media | jl5006
27/8/2020 16:30 | mikemichael, those speed awareness courses are a fraud anyway so it's no surprise if they make them just a little bit more of a con. | grahamite2

27/8/2020 15:35 | Graham, Even a cursory bit of digging tells you that N95 / Half Face masks with suitable filters are the the bare minimum. Still, even a piece of cloth(sub Surgical mask)is better than nothing as it will reduce the viral load. Which is,in first instance, key. | geckotheglorious
27/8/2020 15:16 | I was offered a 'speed awareness course' as i got caught doing 48 on a smart motorway restricted area, no complaints i was going too fast. However, all classroom courses are suspended at the moment, and all you can do is an online job, you need zoom and a camera computer. I told Police i didn't have that facility and capability, they said i had to pay the fine and take the points!!! Anyone had this? and do you think it's fair? | mikemichael2
