I can't see how any bank which is receiving any kind of government aid or guarantees or a lowering of it's capital reserves requirement can possibly pay a dividend during a time of national emergency. The media would have a field day and rightly so. Much as I would like to receive a dividend I am mentally discounting it.

Temporary hospital in excel centre, London of 4000 capacity, 85% of all cases in the last 24 hours are in Europe..Very interesting. Let's hope with in a month or two the virus will be defeated.

I see the EU has been quite busy sorting out new membership. hxxps://www.euronews.com/2020/03/24/brussels-can-open-eu-membership-talks-with-albania-and-north-macedonia
While the rest of the EU is in lock down and they have been doing nothing to assist.
Lucky we are leaving

Personally I can't see the US market being sanguine when they start dropping like flies in every state regardless of what financial boost the economy is given.

hit the bottom..perhaps a smack in the face
Here is how it works...
Bounce tomorrow after the Yanks pass their "bailout"
Day later that is all forgotten when the Yanks become the new epicenter of the outbreak and their cases rocket above the number China reported

Hmm, the WHO total will rise quickly as the virus hits new centres of populations. Assuming Asia first, then Europe, then USA, once the USA starts to mend itself the markets will prob start heading north again. Because we are all getting more isolated, the numbers issue is not one big population it is a sum of smaller ones now, all following a similar curve but delayed in time from each other.

The USA is only just starting to see the virus, despite the bullish rants of Trump. When that hits there will be a sharp realisation of the situation and the markets will tumble.

Good day today, however I'm sure it's just a cat bouncing that's just lived through it's 9th life.......

Think the virus as an earthquake with a magnitude of 9.5...aftershocks and .. tsunami to follow.
