It should be taken seriously whatever age you are.

This was a slow-motion Katrina and you could see it coming.

The problem with statistics is that you can put whatever spin on it you like. Some youngsters have died but they could have had underlying health issues, delayed seeking medical help or been exposed to a massive viral load.

Best plan of action is to make absolutely sure you don't get it in the first place. I am driving my GF mad with my aggressive plan. She will thank me later. :)

Italy reported 2,000 new cases today. Just in case some are not aware.

Worldometers.info has some useful CV19 stats. If it is accurate it could be viewed that cv19 is being blown out of all proportion. 16.5 cases per million in countries reporting incidents. Less than 5000 deaths world wide and most from 3 countries. Statistical reporting is too sketchy to make an informed decision as you only know about the ones you have tested. Nightmare scenario is being taken as the default.

W1, I really hope you are right as with asthma and my other half working in health are would like nothing more than that to be the case.

Unless the virus suddenly weakens?, it looks optimistic.

You may well be right for phase 1.
Phase 2 comes fall/Winter and it will be worse than current.

What will be interesting is to see what happens in China - they claim its over, officially, so everyone can get back to work!

For it is all about getting people back to work.

Wonder if Corona will return in back end of the year with a vengeance.

Time will tell.

Doubt we will see the true death figures either from China. Or Iran for that matter.

It's peaked in Hubai provenance, that's for sure.

The mainland China figures, ex Hubai, look rather optimistic to me, but that's
what they are saying.

According to the CHINESE!!!
Who have LIED from the off - OFFICIAL

Personally I'd be surprised if it hadn't slowed down due to 750million people being quarantined. That's how you get the R0 sub 1

"The Italians are genetically similar to the Iranians, and ,like them, are an"absolute shower"

Don't disagree bar Italians have a superior health service to both Iran and UK

"We are up there with the South Koreans in terms of control and low death rates"

Factually incorrect. And arrogant to.

UK was up to yesterday STILL receiving flights form Italy and ROTW absent any "checks" of incoming passengers whatsoever.

No health checks, even from passengers flying in from hot zones.

UK is 2 weeks behind Italy.
US is 2 weeks behind Italy.

Case,case, cluster,cluster,boom.

Let's see where UK is in 10-12 days time shall we.

Boris Johnson calls COBRA meeting and is due to announce transition to 'delay' phase, whilst Trump bans travel from Europe but not UK or Ireland. Meanwhile, the budget redirects EU contributions money to UK domestic policies. COBRA called as we move to 'delay phase': The UK is expected to move into the 'delay' phase of the four-part plan to tackle coronavirus. Boris Johnson has called an emergency COBRA meeting today and it is being reported that he will sign off on the transition into the next stage which will see 'social distancing' measures considered. This could include restrictions on public gatherings and large crowds, after the Times reported that the Premier League will now follow its European counterparts and play behind closed doors.Trump sets ban on travel from Europe but excludes UK: Donald Trump has implemented a travel ban on Europe in order to stop the spread. The ban will last 30 days but not include the UK or Ireland. Trump said that the European Union "failed to take the same precautions (as the US) and restrict travel from China and other hotspots" and "As a result, a large number of new clusters in the United States were seeded by travellers from Europe." As well as citizens, the ban also restricts trade and cargo as he made clear the US would halt "anything coming from Europe to the United States." The European Union has said it 'disapproves' of the decision in a joint statement by Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel. They said the policy had been "imposed without consultation."EU contributions to fund domestic policies: Rishi Sunak's budget yesterday predicts that  £42.3 billion will be saved from contributions to the EU over the next 5 years after taking into account the effects of the Brexit divorce bill. A Government source said "Some people have questioned whether there would be a Brexit dividend, but here it is in black and white – growing every year. This is money that we are taking back control of in order to spend on our own domestic priorities." The Office for Budget Responsibility also predicts that net immigration will have been cut in half by the next election, going from 240,000 to 130,000. Clear Brexit vision sees surge in business: Property advisor Savills has reported an increase in profits after seeing a surge in UK business following the 2019 general election result. Drops in revenue due to Brexit uncertainty and disruption in Hong Kong was offset by an increase following a clearer vision for the future of Britain. Chief executive Mark Ridley said "While we continue to monitor the impact of global uncertainties on investor and occupier demand for real estate, we have made a good start to 2020 with the first two months outperforming the same period last year on all measures." Savills do however, expect coronavirus to negatively impact business going forward. On our site today: Today's article is a review of the budget. It looks at the measures put in place to combat the coronavirus as well as how the government plans to 'level up' parts of the UK with increased spending. We also interviewed Dan Hannan, former MEP, on future FTAs, fishing policy and the negotiations so far. Your broker may well be right about the DOW having further to fall but I'm starting to see movements that suggest the market wants go higher from these levels. Prices taking a lot longer to go down but very quick to go up. From experience that's usually indicates a prelude to a move up. Good Luck my friend.

we can only use the official figures, pointless speculating.."

Plenty of reasons to believe the official figures are massaged or falsified.
As leaks have evidenced.

Why would China face economic implosion and quarantine half its populace for a lousy 3100 deaths????

Communist party doesnt care about human lives...

3100 deaths is nothing for a populace 1.4 billion - so why quarantine half the country?

Doesn't add up.

"The WHO spent a week in China i think they would have spotted Armageddon"

Oh you mean the Chinese shills that have refused to label this a pandemic when it was obvious 4 weeks ago.

Frankly the WHO,and that idiot Tedros, are the last people I will listen to.

Cheers robling, I didn't realize it went that low.

Hmmm. is it possible for Lloyds to fall under 30p again?

I don't know.

Corona virus is slowly being revealed for the hoax it is.

It only kills very old people with health issues. It doesn't affect children.

Hardly like the Spanish flu, that only killed the young and the healthy.
