Crom, the huge policy error of the 1930 was Fed inaction, that's not
the case currently!. We can still have recessions of course.

With 500 cases I doubt any businesses have been affected. Blown out of all proportion. If everyone self isolates the inpact will be next to nothing.

Still less than 500 confirmed cases in UK, what will happen when 50000 or more?

The residential mortgage book I would have least concerns about.

Lloyds, from memory, have quite a bit of exposure to commercial property and of course small and medium sized companies. Credit card lending, motor finance?

They have stressed time and time again how fit their model Is for more challenging Marco conditions,
so let's see.

A simple truth. Viral infections are self limiting and generally with two possible outcomes. Viruses require a host to replicate. If hosts take precautions then the virus will run its course.

The whole process has been like a car crash in slow motion but with knowing the outcome in advance.Just be careful. There is no cause for panic. Common sense should do the trick.

I completely agree. There was a news item yesterday about school trips to Italy as recently as Friday.

Patient

We should have been banning flights to and from Italy 2 weeks ago. The government have been caught napping just like the Italians.

The communists of China look extremely good and efficient against this European/US circus.

Minerve 2 is a sad git. His glass is not half empty, it is completely empty. There is nothing for him to live for. As I say, a sad, no a very sad git.

I don't think the markets received the budget well. I think there is a general concern over affordability.

Seems some good advice there but I question some of the facts based on other facts we already know. In China about 20% of those who had bad symptoms needed hospital treatment and most recovered. If coughing and fever always meant 50% fibrosis and death then the recovery rates and mortality shown in China would be much much higher.

It could be the case that the elder generation who have died in California didn't react initially on first symptoms - because they thought it was something else - which made the 50% fibrosis figure more common.

Nevertheless, some generally sensible advice it seems.

Thanks for posting. :)
