Brexiters, don't you love their simple life built on anecdotes and gossip.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minnie. I don't believe that you are really in belief that the UK are going down the pan outside Europe. I had many colleagues in business who started off being firm Remainers, but are now champing at the bit to get it done and dusted. On this thread only you and bargain bob are still 100% stuck in the Remain camp, maybe a couple of others sympathise. However, it is not gossip that millions of the German, French and Italian people are envious of us getting Brexit.

When Brexit is hailed as a success and you and your family reap the benefits, will you still be whining. By the way, I heard that when you look at a Menu, you always choose things that don't agree with you!

Btw, prior to Maggie getting shot of the British Docks Board, things were pretty awful at UK docks.

Example: at one port I went to, the crane drivers (British Rail) took their lunch break between 12.00-13.00, while the dockers working on the ship (BDB) took theirs between 13.00-14.00; so 2 hours (plus) when no cargo could be worked. No wonder ports on the continent, from where cargoes could be transhipped onto ferries, thrived. Bolshie Unions and state-owned 'industries' have had their day.

That, Minnie old chap, is what is known as being a 'tally clerk'. It's the job of the ship's Mate (Chief Officer), along with a cargo superintendent, sometimes, to decide upon where to place cargo. It is also their job to make a note of where said cargo ends up, as things can change and affect a ship's stability and trim. The latter is a simple job and is sometimes done by tally clerks.

Whatever, he was a "counter in and out".

Of course, that shouldn't count against the man, he might have quite a logical brain and be a helluva nice guy - or not.

"I know a man"

Brexiters, don't you love their simple life built on anecdotes and gossip.

Wiki says this:

Employed by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board (the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company from 1972) as a ship’s planner, he drew maps indicating the location of cargo in the hold so it could be retrieved at the unloading port.

Interesting jacko, thank you.

Both here and in the US the left has fallen into the hands of people who are wholly detached from reality. That interview showed it clear as crystal.

I can see that the chimp cage is going to be rattled and further more excited in the run up to next Friday. Best taint the bananas with a sedative before one of them gets hurt.

It's good to hear Soros is concerned about 2020. He has reason to be. Quite likely he'll die in the middle of Trump's second term, watching in horror as all the evil things he has fought for go up in smoke.
