First...Sir Geoffrey Boycott OBE, then tempers frayed on the pitch again today! (conclusion.... all gentleman play cricket, but not all cricketers are gentleman)!

Tempers frayed as a frazzled Australia missed chances and lost control of the fifth Ashes Test on day three at The Oval, where England marched to 8-313 at stumps to hold a 382-run lead.

And what a book it will be!

Exposing all the wrongdoings his government are guilty of, exposing all the fake news his minions put about, exposing all the charlatans in politics.

Of course, this will need a certain amount credulity on the part of the public. But heh, they are only chimps, and so will swallow the lot.

Watch the lolly roll in :-)

Jack LeaverPosted September 14, 2019 at 11:08 am | PermalinkIt will be of no comfort to leave voters to remove MPs in a GE if they decide beforehand to force through a fourth vote on the WA/PD as I fear they will unless Boris Johnson pulls a rabbit out of a hat or we leave without a deal on the 31st October. If this Parliament were to pass the WA/PD, the UK electorate would be powerless as I understand the treaty, which would lock the UK in perpetual servitude to the EU, could not be reversed or amended. I hope my fear is unwarranted.?ShirleyPosted September 14, 2019 at 12:04 pm | PermalinkNo treaty is inviolable, especially one that was deliberately imposed against the will of the people... That Shirley point is true. But it is a longer route with inconvenience. Clean break far better.

Yep, drivel based on a failure to look at the history and to realise that all governments in the UK maintain house prices in order to keep the economy going.

the Wealth effect[if you want the jargon]

a bit like PPI without the fraud.

'"As of July 31 this year, a million EU citizens had applied for settled status in the UK after Brexit. However, it is thought that some 2.6million people who are eligible are yet to apply. "'

I find the above confusing. Why is it assumed EU citizens in the UK all qualify and wish to effectively live permanently in the UK? In any case you can't apply for settled status unless you qualify and have already lived in the UK 5 years: which rules out the bulk. Most EU citizens in the UK are typical expats, posted in for a few years relocation for work before leaving.

I've lived for a 1-4 years in 5 countries ex-UK for work purposes. I never imagined nor wished to apply to live in any of them beyond my work posting. In my travels I've met perhaps thousands of expats, very few (certainly westerners) wish to become PR of a foreign country in which they're posted; I can only think of 3-4 such people I've met, all of whom did so as they 'married local'.

correct freddie..why they dont filter him is completely beyond me.
perhaps they are
1/soppy liberals]2/they think they can change him.

either way the arrogance is remarkable....not from him[he is deeply disturbed]...but from those who think they know better than the filter.
