I like the Germans I have met.

I can never find much difference between any nationality and ourselves when you get to know them.

Maybe Carl Marx was right about one thing;
A German coal miner has more in common with a British coal miner that he has with an German aristocrat.
The Ruling elites of each country have more in common with each other that they have with the peasant classes.

But in times of war you have to brainwash the population into hating the enemy. All countries do this.
The trouble with willoicc is that he is still effected by it.
Intelligent people should be immune from propaganda.

Alphorn, perhaps then you have a degree of understanding of why I have such antipathy towards the EU in general, and the Germans in particular.

They still think they are the master race and the irony is that, despite their experiences of German brutality during the war, the rest of the EU are queuing up to be ruled by them.

'According to an analysis of 1998-2002 crime statistics, non-Western immigrants were overrepresented for violent crime, economic crime and traffic violations'

Norway has right idea, keep out the low life scumbags.

Oh yeah, sure, but I bet they don't kill and injure as many as the Norwegian born Anders Behring Breivik Esquire!

ROFLMAO!

The law in this country allows billionaires to "dump" their failed companies and their workforce once they've been asset stripped and inevitably it's the tax payer who ALWAYS has to pick up the bill, whether that be in the form of redundancy payments, pension commitments, unemployment benefit or all of those noted.

As for the Scottish Gov, they've been left with little to no alternatives due to these ridiculous UK laws, similar to the Prestwick Airport situation.

Standing by and watching either of these ventures fail, would have resulted in serious unemployment for already depressed areas, the knock on effect to other reliant industries which would have resulted in further job losses and serious failure of infrastructure such as essential sea travel by ferry and air travel / freight at Prestwick.

Prestwick is also one of only two disaster and anti terrorism hubs in our airspace with Stansted being the other, so further repercussions would have been triggered had the Scottish Gov let Prestwick fail.

I suggest some of you attempt to see past the Daily Mail & Express headlines for a change and actually THINK about the utter pish that you post............

"I read that Scotland just nationalised a shipyard, more cash required..."

At least they are making an effort in the right direction.

Best having the workers building something we creates value than sat at home watching day-time TV claiming benefits which has zero value.

Which do you think really costs the most long-term???

Careful - BMW wanted access to front wheel drive (ex Honda) and the LR four wheel drive system. They got both of course.

That's what comes of having uncontrolled numbers of people coming here from abroad. Mainly thanks to the EU.

The likes of Norway is "successful", however any country which houses its children in shipping containers, has legions of homeless people littered across the streets of its Towns and City's, has bankrupt councils which can't provide it's schools and teachers with the basics, has roads which are more akin to 3rd world dirt tracks, has foodbanks and charities giving handouts to keep people alive across the length and breadth of the country, certainly is NOT successful in my eyes or any rational persons eyes..........

HMG also poured billions into British Leyland.
Wasted money.

BMW gave up on Rover having lost billions and sold it for -£400m. to get rid of it.
Yes that was minus £400m.
