I agree with LADESIDE. I would rather be run by Germany today than the US.

Losers and whiners make such comments..how about we run ourselves.

Minerve, you have been run by Germany all of your sorry life. Have a butchers out of the window at that Merc you pay instalments on every month. The great value investor whose car is on a PCP finance deal.

Can't afford to buy a car, but loves to tell the board about his greatness.

Not a care about a depreciating hunk of rusting German metal.

ROFLMAO

Of course all our history, especially the recent wars, are relevant to Brexit. And to say things would be better if we lost the last war is silly and disrespectful of those who won it for us. Do you think we'd be talking about Brexit today if we lost the war? Do you think there'd be an eu if we lost the war? Eighty years of German rule would have produced something vastly different to 80 years of uk and eu rule.

'By 2008, the war and its aftermath had caused 5.4 million deaths, principally through disease and starvation, making the Second Congo War the deadliest conflict worldwide since World War II'

Shame on you Minerve, what you doing about this ???

The war seems to be the subject of the day - and as it happens, I have been reading a book about HMS Warspite, with a long section on the war in the Mediterranean.

The Italian fleet was quite simply better than ours - equally well armed but faster and more modern. Yet they threw away those advantages through timidity. Rather than engage, they sneaked into their boltholes, only to find Taranto wasn't as safe as they thought.

I think this does have relevance to the EU discussion. For the remoaners, Project Fear isn't just propaganda, it's a statement of who they are - frightened rabbits scared of their own shadows. If we listen to them we'll lose all.

I like LADESIDE, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not firing on all cylinders this morning.

But that was a strange and extremely unfortunate post of his earlier.

Germany export 800,000 cars to the UK. 22 billin Euros

France export 15 million cases of wine to te UK.

Italy sell the UK 50% of all of Prosecco the make.

Yet, a no deal Brexit ain't gonna make any difference to the EU.

Scare stories continue and most are how badly the UK are going to suffer.

Tony Blair before he sold out!!!

Can anyone remember the name of the fresh-faced young Labour lawyer who stood for election in 1983, and told the people of Sedgefield that the EEC was an anti-democratic monster that drained the economy and destroyed jobs? It was Tony Blair.

And who told the readers of the Sun on St George’s Day 1997 – as he was on the verge of becoming Prime Minister – that England’s patron saint had “a new dragon to slay”, in the form of “Europe”? Yes, it was Blair again; and before you tell me that Blair will say anything (and you would probably be right) I would remind you that plenty more principled lefties have had passionate pro-Brexit convictions.

Two faced, dishonest, war criminal, con man, liar, cheat Tony Bliar, the slimeball who now tells us how great Europe is. What has slimy been promised? what has he sold today, both his soul and his heart were sold years ago.

Champagne Tony...lock him up!!
