Don't laugh, I'm now the owner of 1 share. It's a way of keeping an eye on
the SP, as likely to forget otherwise. I'm hoping there may be a decent opportunity if a future market correction gets going.

Interesting to look at the correlation between the 2019 parabolic moves in LTI
and Unilever.

EI. Will be interested to see how it reacts at that level, subject to the market of course. PS - Keep an eye on MCLS

I've experienced a few trading days where a shopping trip would have been a significantly less expensive alternative!.

Those were the days :) Accounts at IG and Cantor, eventually I realised I'd only ever met margin calls, had never been able to take money out. "All I need to do then, is bet the complete opposite of what I think".

Market is designed to fool most of the people, most of the time.

Enough new year reminiscing - happy new year to my fellow investors (not that I'm in LTI ;) ).

@andyj - you've reminded me of my very early trading days, where I decided to have a punt on the Nasdaq with IG Spreadbet.

8 point spread, that's OK, I thought.

£10/point.

Didn't realise it was quoted in decimals. £800 down just on the spread, not £80 down.

Seem to remember I left the screens in a panic and went shopping.

One to look at during equity volatility, although without that
can see some support around current levels.

He is right, I tried to buy some and thinking they were 12 quid I put an order in for 800. Luckily I gave a cursory glance to the total before hitting buy!

Hmmm up 5% with a ridiculous spread and only 355 shares traded this morning.

Yield 2.3% at this level.

If looking short term then a lot depends on how equities perform in Q1.
To get to the £10 type level might need market downside.
If markets keep moving higher then somewhere around the current price may
provide some support.

Well @ £10 or better looks about right to me for starters.

is the divi really over 2% at this level? Tossing up whether to take a stake here or ULVR as originally planned. Steady long term capital appreciation and increasing divis are the goal.

@Hewhoknowsnot - FTSE unlikely to be about to collapse, but really doesn't need to for my theory to (continue to) come to pass. You've got to believe moat stocks are going to continue to 1. Grow earnings faster than the market; 2. Not disappoint; 3. Justify still-higher PEs.

Only takes one of those to slip - I think all 3 currently are.

One positive on LTI - it's cheaper than it has been.
