the problem is that the real issues (or issues that some suspect) cannot be discussed on a BB for obvious reasons......

from the fools board:

'Note that LNG has been trading well in August and September, with turnover in line with Q3/09. Also, turnover so far in 2010 is ahead of 2009, although net win and gross profit are considerably lower. Thus, the business could soon be on an even keel again, were sufficient working capital to be injected into it.)'

this trading has been due to favorable football (world cup and start of serie a) results so far - so what happens when there is a run of results favorable to the punters - money goes and back to same old situation ? better of going to a casino and putting it on red or black ?

'using proprietary betting software, '

who owns this software ? if the shareholders try a hostile takeover does this leave the entity along with GC ? then what ?

Operational Highlights

· Italian active partner network increased by 45 to 529 (2008: 484).

· Cyprus partner network increased to 49 (2008:47)

· Betshop poker has gained 13,500 customers since launch in November 2008

· New Greek online marketing partner appointed

· Expanded call centre capacity securing hub in Reggio, Calabria

· Continued development of proprietary IT platform for the B2B market

Richard Creed, CEO of Leisure & Gaming plc, commented: "Figures published by the Italian regulator show that the Italian gaming market is growing by 20%. In addition, the imminent regulation of casino and cash poker games, (announced by the Italian regulator to occur in July 2010) is expected to provide significant growth opportunities.

The Group continues to diversify its product offerings in order to reduce its dependence on sports betting. The development of our B2B offering, using proprietary betting software, is generating many leads and the fees earned through the use of existing assets will serve to reduce the risks associated with sports betting.

We are also looking at expanding into other European markets and continue to monitor opportunities. Going forward the Group aims to enhance its position as a major European gaming operator and views 2010 as a year of investment, the benefits of which are expected from 2011 onwards."

what's the position regarding the monies held in the 'escrow' account???

cash held as security for guarantees for Italian licenses €1.6m (2008: €2.2m) as of 31st Dec 2010

in my view that cash should be added to the agreed sale value of Betshop...

I have no problem with Colin going to the Nomad.

Why didn't he stay and persuade/ make his case?

However:

Stress and anxiety can be tough I know so I would like to withdraw my comments.

i told david to call EGM with immediate effect at the end of May to sack the BOD and protect interests... the Fools ignored me, preferring to trust the BOD.

it's too late now.... grab the 0.78p and walk

finally jmaccer we agree on something

it's an admirable but futile task cliffy is proposing

like i stated.... insist on the 0.78p payout for your vote......... THEN WALK AND MOVE ON.

never forget and remember the investment mistakes for future years

you can come back

' it's not about how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit... how much you can take and keep moving........forward '

you are joking - that cliff seems to be a fool is that why the site is called fool ? - throw more money at it in a hostile take over - what a fool - does he really think GC would stay under those circumstances - all the contacts are his, there is no one at LNG who could take this over and probably no one from the industry who would care to either. italy is a market which has had its best for betshop - they can't compete with the operators in the market today - pokerstars spends in a day what betshop has spent to date in marketing and then there bwin - the business in now floored - it can only survive with added investment (not just debts paid off ) and new markets. can this cliff afford that sort of money ? and why hasn't he put his hand in his pocket before now - this is now very delusional , think with your head not your heart.

Good on you Cliff... go for it!!!

Good to see the Fools coming out fighting at last...

But Cliffy.... if you succeed with the 'rescue plan' have you considered the possibility that GC will simply walk from his job? Who will run Betshop? Who else has the local knowledge?

It's a nightmare of a task.... maybe concentrating on grabbing that 0.78p a share in cash might be a better idea?

Please don't even consider risking the equity in your home as security for a loan... that applies to anyone else in the action group.

best idea is use your 40% vote as a base.... then insist that in order to vote the deal through the BOD must return the 0.78p in cash in October

There were other bids - they pulled out as did others from my understanding because AAMS is too volatile, you note the penalty issue just raised, which is typical of AAMS to pull out of the hat. In addition to this the reliance on one of two members of staff was also too great. I suspect if the deal doesn't go through and existing shareholders try to buy back then these people will simply walk leaving the business worthless and rudderless. I would be interested to know if the existing shareholders are the ones who have put in the additional funds to keep it going thus far or if it has come from other? If not then why would shareholders try and rescue it now? Either they believe there is value in it or they don't and they quire clearly didn't a few months ago so take your money and run. Anyone who would consider throwing more money chasing their losses is a sign a of a bad gambler! Good luck to all.

indeed - so come on now oneielshaun and you others who had the fat lady singing too early, and who indeed knew nothing, something at least

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

jmaccer - oh dear seem you need to get your facts right, i stated from when teh RNS went out that GC would end up with LNG, this is pure scam if the board had really looked they could have found a real buyer.

Still no EGM to remove RC come on guys wake up you have been screwed once why let it happen again.
