27/7/2010 11:56 | "and who says major investors arent doing anything have you asked them???" So what have they done then, Jack? | investmentguru
26/7/2010 21:20 | I dont know why the shares were suspended, but I dont think they ran out of cash. I have seen what happens when Bookmakers have a cashflow problem and/or eventually go bust and that didnt happen here. I have no idea what the real story is though. Fortunately I dont have many shares here though if I did have I WOULD want the full story. | adh0

It is also fact that Colin went to to the Nomad and stated that LNG could not meet financial commitmnets, so sorry mate but it seems your info is wrong. -------------------- RNS Number : 3010M AIM 21 May 2010 ? 26/7/2010 11:56 | So the CEO and other directors are still on full pay after running the company into the ground? Amazing. Have to say I'm surprised too that the major PIs haven't taken any action, they used to pride themselves on their shareholder activism. | investmentguru
23/7/2010 16:32 | LDMachin - I agree plus other costs that we have no idea about, i am just finding it very strange that people like Cliff and crew hold such a huge % of this compnay yet they have not asked for EGM at least to clarify the situation with shareholders. Very odd but i guess we will find out soon enough. | oneillshaun
23/7/2010 16:23 | oneillshaun, Of more of a concern i think are the debts, as of 31st December 2009: Bank borrowings: 0.9m euros Loan notes: 0.3m euros (Good old kind hearted Gabriel C's loan). That's 1.2m euros + 6 months worth of interest on it that LNG owe. As we know the cash position has gone to bits, that's why they are suspended. And any cash that LNG do have is tied up in the Escrow account (no money in escrow account = no trading in italy = no business. So using that monies is out of the question). Not too mention the running costs of the business since the start of the year (they still around 1m euros a quarter?). Also, not too mention the development contracts they would have signed (software development) which will require their interim and final payments... ... a lot of wolves need feeding and i can't imagine they will be too patient. Let's hope that Italian Betshop customers didn't get wind that the owner company (LNG) is in trouble, and that they still use Betshop, instead of doing a 'bank run' quick exit on Betshop. | ldmachin
23/7/2010 16:09 | Jack - I dont think the WC was that good, i got the meesage that LNG had no cash to run the operations of the business so I do not expect that they made that much over the WC maybe 500 - 600k tops so that will deal with th salary bill for a couple of months but what about the rest of the business? | oneillshaun
23/7/2010 15:16 | prem season starts on 14/08 3 wks till footie betting floods in again l&g shld made it thru the weakest part of the yr soon back to decent volumes again..... Jack | captain jack harkness
23/7/2010 15:05 | If trends in previous years are repeated again this year July will see a further slight fall before things pick up again in August when Italians start drifting back to work after their summer holidays. Nevertheless operators can be pleased that online spending did increase almost 40 percent year-on-year in June, and it was not just sports betting that saw positive growth. While the World Cup led to an annual increase in stakes of 62 percent (to 100m), skill games and poker also grew 30 percent to 246m and online bingo spend remained in double figures (10.1m). | bleepy
23/7/2010 11:57 | oneillshaun you are right!!! Healthy Margins Soften Italy's Summer Betting Slump Jack | captain jack harkness |
