so even though interim results were two weeks earlier than previously the final results are set to be two weeks later, maybe more.

so much cash it's taking longer to count

me thinks they are going to 'buy' something for cash gawd forbid.
if they were going to sell, the results would have been out today at the very latest.
there are no excuses, and this company continues to exasperate.

I though it was a bit unhelpful too poacher, but what can I do? It may be that there is a deal they want to announce with the results, could be a sale of Hemmers or perhaps an acquisition with the cash.

I can´t see why it should be hard to prepare the results, I pointed out to Ewen Wigley that the results should be simpler this year. Last year they got them out before now despite the fact they were dealing with the sale of the leasing division which went through after the year end and must have taken up a lot of management time. Even though they will have to include a month of leasing´s results in this years figures, surely they will have completed those accounts yonks ago.

I hope they don´t plan to keep us waiting long and more importantly I hope they don´t disappoint. I think it´ll be the new year now though.

I am sorry to say this Arthur but the reply you have had seems arrogant and pompus. Large companies set dates for results and AGM'S over a year in advance. Even small firms such as Lathams warn there shareholders well in advance. There is no excuse for not getting the results out within three months of the year end. After the results are out the publication and AGM could be delayed if a deal was pending. I hope we are not going back to the bad old days when the AGM only takes place just before the end of the next year. Finally I am sure that our Chairman said at the last AGM we would have the results in December.

Agreed, If they release early in the New Year they don't want to hide any bad news so all I can read from that is a positive update.

How come in the past I can only buy small amounts of shares at once. This month it has been nearly all buys and still the share price does not go up. We know they have had a good year why dont they tell us. Any news about other deals can come later.

Just got this from Ewen Wigley.

"We do not set a fixed date to release the accounts, but will release them as soon as they are ready and prepared. I expect that it will occur soon."

That suggests to me that it won´t be tomorrow. So I think we might be waiting until the new year, I can´t imagine them busting a gut in the short week to get them ready.

Well it looks like the chart is now up. We started the period a tad over 22p, went briefly above 23p, briefly below 21p and have ended the period a tad under 22p!!!

Perhaps the results are out tomorrow, I haven´t had a reply from Ewen Wigley so I don´t know.

They managed to make an announcement today so somebody´s in the office!

Personally, I do not have an interest in charts but if some do there is no reason a chart cannot be posted on this thread.

To stop us being bombed with charts, perhaps, langland would be willing to include a chart in the header?

Well the German IFO survey was very strong this week so Hemmers should have no excuses if they don't come up with good results.

I eventually got this reply from Ewen Wigley a couple of week ago. Perhaps i´ll email him again today and see if they have a date yet.

I think they´re going to deliberately sneak them out just before Christmas. I think it suits the Swedes to keep the price low so that they can buy in the stock and increase the value of their own stake.

Firstly I apologise for not responding my promptly - which is entirely my fault.

I cannot give a firm date yet for the announcement of the results but would very much hope that the timing would not be dissimilar to last year. Whilst you are correct that the Leasing company is no longer part of the Group, the sale of that business took place during the 05/06 financial year and therefore has to be included as part of the audit process.

With regard to the cash in the balance sheet, the Board is considering all of the options available to it. However I hope you will understand that it is not appropriate for me to say anything until the formal results are published.

best to confine ourselves to the stocks in question [cpl]!!! lol.
certainly pg bought a tranche of this at the very lowest levels.
nevertheless, at the point a 'concert party' was created he had been buying at 40 and 50pence +
all history now and the regulatory police dont give s..t !!!
am not sure you are correct: i think he maybe just about break even at this price taking into account the 13 pence distribution, and in terms of opportunity cost;a disaster..
