09/3/2006 15:49 | There you go, another 250k. It looks like they´re going to keep buying but aren´t going to bid up the price. Shame really, i´d like to sell them my shares for 30p+. | arthur_lame_stocks
08/3/2006 16:01 | looks like another 250k buy back, nice to see at this price, its like giving 60p for a £1 long may it continue | roomey
06/3/2006 11:50 | Maybe we'll have to wait until the May interims and an updated balance sheet to see a re-rating. Given EPS for this year of approx 2p, cash of 15p (increasing 1p every 6 months) and another 15p of assets on top you'd think it would be amazingly difficult to lose money on this share at current price of 20p | hugepants
02/3/2006 01:08 | arthur. i must have prompted them !!!! lol. | cg1953
01/3/2006 10:03 | Yep, quite comforting. CR | cockneyrebel
01/3/2006 09:59 | cg and CR. There´s your answer. The company are still buying back their own shares at this price. | arthur_lame_stocks
28/2/2006 20:31 | some large trades today, looks like 250K buy and 12k + 100K sells to match. CR | cockneyrebel
24/2/2006 03:48 | of course, if ldsg is such incredible value now then its a wonder they are not buying in there own shares at .20!!! ?? | cg1953
17/2/2006 13:11 | Should NAV still be more or less 11.5M after disposal or has it gone down slightly? | hugepants
17/2/2006 12:26 | I'd hoped for 25p but it's looking like a pipe dream I'm afraid! Partially, I'd imagine, because the market doesn't trust the Swede and probably for good reason. BTW - I saw The Swede once when I was subcontracting at a company he'd bought - What a nasty arrogant person he appeared to be, not just my opinion but that of all those he 'looked down' on. | belize1971
17/2/2006 11:16 | This is losing all its recent gains. It´s a bit frustrating. I thought we´d seen the back of the teens for good. Still if it keeps on falling i´ll buy some more. They´re just too cheap at this price. | arthur_lame_stocks
16/2/2006 03:56 | i wish the 'swedes' or 'renew' or 'brtish mohair' had bid .20 pence when the stock languished at .13 and put this and me out of my misery. the wonder and the worry is why they didnt ?? | cg1953
15/2/2006 11:47 | I think saving cash is the most likely option too. I do worry about what the two Swedes are up to, but I wonder if we may have a defence if they try to screw us in concert in that they acquired a 40% stake without ever making a bid. | arthur_lame_stocks
15/2/2006 10:37 | I would have thought cash saving as hemmers has its own board and seems to be run independently from holding co. but I must admit to being concerned myself and have tried to contact leeds to get clarification but only get answer phone message since leasing been sold. | roomey
15/2/2006 10:08 | I'm watching this stock with interest - wondering whether to buy... What worries me is the recent RNS. The MD and Director does not offer himself for re-election and the company make no response about what they are going to do! These things are usually planned. If it was planned and they make no response it is irresponsible. If it was a suprise to the board then there is something unsettling going on. Fine, he can continue as company secretary (the dual role of MD and CS would have presented him with potential conflicts of interests anyway!) but why no MD? Saving cash, liquidation imminent, severe disagreement on way forward...plus lots of other options. Any ideas? | ptolemy
15/2/2006 09:54 | caveat emptor. this stock has consistently misled and disappointed over the past 6 years. the 2 largest shareholders will dictate the agenda. imo it shouldnt even be listed. unsurprising the directors dont have an appetite to buy this CHEAP stock !!! | cg1953
14/2/2006 15:33 | Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I still don't see why they can't buy in shares at this price. I don't think they would have to spend much to get the price moving and they must be good value. | arthur_lame_stocks
14/2/2006 15:21 | Yes I had that thought as well tho' the directors have a duty of care towards us- the remaining shareholders. And anyway I can't see G and C wanting to screw up value in LDSG. They may get a plus on the one hand but a negative with regard to LDSG if that makes sense. | langland
14/2/2006 15:04 | I tend to agree langland, but that was the news from the AGM apparantly. I don't really mind if they make a decent acquisition, hopefully that would be an outer for the value here. What worries me a bit is that Gyllenhammar and Claesson both have interests in textiles and they may use their control of the company to sell us something they already own for a poor price. | arthur_lame_stocks
14/2/2006 14:39 | I have to say that I am a bit concerned at the mention of the word 'acquisition'. The whole point some months back was that the 2 companies were too small to be effective in the LDSG group. So I think they should stick to the origianl plan and liquidate. Presumably, any acquisition would complement Hemmers otherwise what is the point. | langland
14/2/2006 12:38 | All gone quiet here. I wish they would start to buy back stock again. The shares are so cheap. I guess they want to save the cash for an acquisition. I want to see these at 30p. Even then I reckon they wouldn't be expensive. | arthur_lame_stocks
26/1/2006 18:09 | From the final report (Hemmers first half sales) "The fact that Easter fell so early in 2005 considerably reduced the length of the carnival season, which remains very popular in Europe. Sales of carnival fabrics, which can account for as much as 25% of first half turnover, were considerably down in 2005." Easter is late this year :-) | belize1971
26/1/2006 17:29 | Although we tried several times they would not be specific. | poacher45
26/1/2006 16:19 | Cheers poacher, is there anything specific to tell us. | arthur_lame_stocks
26/1/2006 16:09 | What a difference a year makes. There were several shareholders there that I had not seen before and all interested in the 15p cash. I get the impression that they are definately going to inject a new company into Leeds. They all have different backgrounds so it could be any type of business as long as it is good. They are not lucking to sell Hemmers as it is doing very well and they think it can do even better. Emslies are just large shareholders probably like asset situations. I feel very confident that this should be a good year for Leeds. | poacher45 |
