05/6/2005 02:26 | They dropped from 350p on very low volume so with a little bit of buying there should be upwards price pressure as we have seen... | maccamoran
04/6/2005 09:30 | Up 12p on virtually no trading. Either the MMs know spmething we don't, or they read this bulletin board. | bicknoller
03/6/2005 14:19 | bicknoller - hope your correct - 400p looking like a good target post results and hopefully some upgrades. shares up nicely today but still well below recent high of 350p so plenty to go for as i see it. | its the oxman
02/6/2005 23:07 | Thanks for the analysis .... looking forward to next week. | cobweb
02/6/2005 16:05 | The results shortly to be announced will include a full six months of business from the Morgan Stanley credit card. I believe that this deal is a real biggie for the following reasons: Most deals, e.g. McDonalds involve large numbers of low value transactions over a limited period. The MS deal involves smaller numbers of very high value transactions indefinately. This should result in lower handling costs and higher margins. The problem with this company is that they do have a tendency to screw up in a big way from time to time and this crucifies the share price. If they have not found another banana skin to slip on, I expect them to be well ahead of the previous comparable period when the results are announced. The next six month period should be even better because it will include another six months of MS, plus the Post Office business, plus a major project with the Daily Mail, (collect 20 tokens and get a free return flight to the US). I hold LDR shares | bicknoller
01/6/2005 19:29 | I like your predictions ..... any reason why ? | cobweb
01/6/2005 02:41 | Yep - results will be good. Back to 320p pre results and then move towards 400p after results. That's barring any nasty surprises... | maccamoran
31/5/2005 22:10 | Any predictions on this for results due out on 10th June ? | cobweb
15/5/2005 20:04 | Royal Mail staff promised bonuses Royal Mail may be finally getting to grips with its delivery targets Postal workers could be in line for bonuses of £1,000 when Royal Mail reports its results this week. Chairman Allan Leighton said on Sunday it will be paying out £200m to its 200,000 workers - a sum of up to £1,000 each. The Sunday Telegraph said the Royal Mail will disclose operating profits of £530m, compared to the losses of £1m a day it had in 2002. | deshulme
09/5/2005 19:20 | End of this month every Postman & Postwoman who have been at the Post Office for over 12 months will be receiving a bonus in there paycheck of around £1,000 each. With over 90,000 Postie's holding onto £150 Landround PLC Vouchers it could prove quite a bonanza. | deshulme
06/5/2005 12:55 | I expect you're right, Oxman. Lots of shares have fallen for no good reason except that punters are nervous in this market. | diogenesj
06/5/2005 08:55 | I do believe (and hope) your not right - management must have learnt a lot from last time round - but then again there are no certainties with any share. | its the oxman
05/5/2005 22:01 | I'm relieved I sold mine too, not long after discussing the accident-prone management with prefab above. No news, and the shares may well have fallen too far, but with this management it's just possible that something has happened that they haven't yet seen fit to share with the punters. | diogenesj
05/5/2005 15:26 | Cobweb - I'm not clever enough - just wish I'd sold all my holding now, but I totally agree with your low cap stock comments - given its low valuation I think we will see 350p again - good luck | its the oxman
05/5/2005 13:55 | Cobweb, I can assure you I was not lucky selling @ 350p, but relieved. I was holding these when they plummetted from 360p - 200p last year and waited it out until they got to 350p. Last years profit warning was a disgrace and a more suspicious man than I might think the bullish statements before it were to allow the EX Chairman to offload his shares with an inflated share price over the 6-7 months prior to that bombshell, I know for a fact that the institutions were effing furious with the management over that. All said and done though they should'nt be trading at this price, if they get to 250p (cheap imo) I'll buy again. If they don't well I'll not hold it against anyone and wish you the best of luck with you're investment cobweb. | prefab
04/5/2005 22:52 | I too watched and was about to sell at 350 - but backed out, so well done to you two guys. This was at 350p on 15th April and since then it has dropped 22% on a total volume of less than 40,000 shares !!! Crazy - 40,000 shares traded over 2-3 weeks (representing trades valued at about £120,000) knocks £4m off the Cap of this stock. If there was bad news the volumes would be higher, this to me is simply reflecting a low cap stock with no news flow, lots of small investors who are now bored waiting. We need to wait until run-up to 10th June for the Interims before we get any movement. Only hoping the small sellers are not staff who know something we don't !! | cobweb
04/5/2005 15:08 | agree i sold some at 350p but may well buy more now at this level - fall overdone on what seems like low volume - come next results they should be a lot higher. | its the oxman
04/5/2005 12:42 | Well these are taking an absolute pasting as of late, I bailed @ around 350p. Waited all year to get out with a v small profit after the sh@t this lot pulled last year. Perhaps worth a punt again when they are a little lower, seems to be retail bailing. | prefab
26/4/2005 17:02 | Report on BBC Radio 5 live news yesterday am: The Post Office scheme to reduce absenteeism by offerring travel vouchers as an incentive has been very successfull. The travel vouchers are supplied by Landround. | bicknoller
16/4/2005 15:21 | Well I suppose that taught me - "be careful what you wish for" !! That said looks like from my information on Sharescope that Legal & General have upped their stake from 5.9% to 7% recently which is good news. The drop today on such low volume, markets in a heap suggest that this will bounce back soon. | cobweb
14/4/2005 18:58 | Wow.....!!! a new record I think 8 days and no change .... and on two days 0 sahres traded and a massive 141 today....what a share ! Wake me up when something happens ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.... | cobweb
06/4/2005 23:10 | Anything happening here ? | cobweb
04/4/2005 22:18 | Nice to see Framlington purchase another 25,000 shares today | cobweb
16/3/2005 15:10 | nice little rise today - should see a push on the 360p level soon - last trading update suggest upgrades at half year to me. all pretty positive stuff. | its the oxman
16/3/2005 12:23 | Over 90,000 Royal Mail workers are receiving vouchers worth £150 for having no time off sick in the last six months. The company they can spend the vouchers with is landround PLC. Every area in the country will also have several £2000 hoilday voucher winners, don't know if these will be Landround as well. | deshulme |
