04/10/2004 13:49 | Nice rise in price after the trading statement. What exactly was it saying though? Was it saying (A) that the second half results have been especially good, ie. good enough to effectively cancel out the 500K extraordinary item that caused the share price to drop recently, and that we can expect FY results to be in line with what FY expectations were BEFORE that 500K item came to light? Or was it saying (B) that second half figures were in line with expectations and that FY results will be in line with "current market expectations", which basically means FY results will be what they were expected to be before the 500K item came to light MINUS the 500K? Which d'you think it is? If (A) then this is excellent news and we can hope to see the share price soon returning to/exceeding previous highs. If (B) then this is quite encouraging in the sense that they're assuring us there are no more bugbears round the corner (!!) and we can hope the price will adjust back towards previous levels to reflect a more realistic value without the "uncertainty factor" that's currently built into the low price. What d'you reckon? | eyor
04/10/2004 13:19 | No one taking an interest today? | prefab
19/9/2004 06:49 | Did buy LDR for the free cruise deal. However I always put or call the stops I have decided on, LDR hit its stop and I bailed out, and now there is no free cruise...hmmm.. Now wondering what the offer for the free cruise was all about. If you make such an offer to shareholders you should have the funding or system to achieve this. One of them has failed. The other possible reason is to attract investors and raise the share price prior to a share placing for more funds. It all seems verry worrying now but still interested in the company..so I'll watch from the sidelines to see what happens. Good luck all. | smallchange
31/8/2004 16:50 | just received email from company saying that mediterranean cruise voucher free with 500 shares has been discontinued. Little reason to buy shares now? | martinfrench
15/7/2004 21:45 | Great summary Mitchy. | intercaste
15/7/2004 15:02 | They still aint won back my trust. After all it was the company's bullishness that led to the downfall in the first place. They were talking about big deals etc. If he now said "the sky's the limit", I for one will be wary. Still on watchlist whatever the price does - I think I shall wait for news to materialise even if I miss the first part of any rise. | doubleorquits
15/7/2004 13:58 | prefab - by the "small punt" I assume you mean the 15k buy just after the bell...no,I wish, mine was the 1450..most of my portfolio is in Windsor (wndr)but had the odd £3k lying about which wasn't doing anything. Will be 'drip feeding' into LDR as funds become available. As David said..quote,"The Sky's the Limit" for these..! (he did apologise,in advance, for that pun). | mitchy
15/7/2004 13:40 | Perhaps Fris, they may think twice before asking EVOs advice again, how naive can you be? Price coming back slowly again, some compensation atleast. | prefab
15/7/2004 12:32 | Good afternoon all, ok with you prefab, I did ask all the questions you wanted and got the right replys, like the comment about negotiations with petrol companies for fly n buy points at the garage. Saw you on the webcast site mitchy, and thanks for that report, useful for those who visit this thread. | frisbyd
15/7/2004 12:21 | Cheers Mitchy, I assume that was your 'small' punt this morning then. | prefab
15/7/2004 11:02 | Couldn't get audio for the interview so any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers | prefab
15/7/2004 09:42 | Good morning prefab me ole mucker, going to do my best to listen in, and can then give you a report on the twisted pair or skype later on. | frisbyd
15/7/2004 09:39 | Question: Given that on atleast 2 occasions you stated that 'You looked forward to the coming year with confidence' this year. Why did you feel no obligation to warn your shareholders large and small, of the 'Exceptional Item' the subsequent dramatic drop in profits. I know that your house broker EVO advised you that you did not have to but frankly I feel that you had at minimum a moral obligation to your shareholders. This has really turned a lot of small investors against you, as can be seen by the subsequent share price reaction. Not good enough from the company that won awards for it's communications in 2003. Question: Are we likely to see any contracts of substance in the near future? The companys' silence since the results has been deafening. Thank you. | prefab
15/7/2004 09:25 | as you were...the interview is today 15th at 11.00am but isn't being advertised on ADVFN home page as usual for some reason. | mitchy
15/7/2004 09:24 | Well a decent 15k buy this morning, tempted to think it is David Lyne buying. This lot have got a long way to go before my confidence is restored. It is undoubtedly oversold but sentiment is the key here. | prefab
15/7/2004 08:48 | oops..may have made a mistake with the dates? was the interview yesterday,the 14th?...doh! | mitchy
15/7/2004 08:40 | Firstly..could David give us some sort of trading statement update as to the overall health of the company with specific reference to the percentage of old contracts being renewed and any significant new contracts in the pipeline. Secondly.. bought LDR again this am as I expect them to 'take off'(excuse pun) from these levels...in his last statement he was forcasting that LDR wouldn't quite meet expectations for this finacial year end...are his expectations for the company still neutral? Thirdly...have noticed the British Airways' 'Air Miles' program apparently gaining a higher profile from increased advertising in recent months...has David noticed an overall reduction in new 'Buy & Fly' contracts and old contract renewals? | mitchy |
